A power tool with hammer mechanism including: a housing; a hollow spindle located in the housing; a hammering unit including a piston reciprocatingly mounted within the spindle; a swashplate drive unit for driving the piston reciprocatingly; the swashplate drive unit including a swashplate finger engaged with the rear end of the piston; the piston including a through opening mostly perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the piston at its rear end, a free end of the swashplate finger is received directly in the through opening of the piston, at least a part of outer surface of the free end of the finger contacting at least part of inner surface of the through opening during reciprocation of the piston. Such a direct coupling between the swashplate finger and the drive piston minimizes numbers of the parts, reduces complexity of the assembly and the cost.

Power tool having hammer mechanism

A power tool, such as a rotary hammer, includes a housing, an output shaft for mounting a tool accessary and a motor having a motor shaft that generates a rotational output for rotating and linearly hammering the output shaft. The rotational output of the motor shaft is coupled to the output shaft via a driving mechanism that includes a hammer mechanism. An intervening member is axially movable relative to the motor shaft and is operably coupled between the motor shaft and the hammer mechanism. The hammer mechanism and the output shaft are supported by a movable support that is axially movable relative to the housing. Because the output shaft and the driving mechanism are movable relative to the motor and the housing, which preferably includes handle, via the intervening member and the movable support during hammering operations, vibration generated during hammering operations can be dampened before reaching the housing.

RECIPROCATING IMPACT TOOL WITH MOTOR CONTROL

A power tool that includes a housing, an electric motor, an input device, a reciprocation drive assembly, a striker, an anvil, and an electronic controller is provided. The electronic controller can control the electric motor based on a state of the input device. The electronic controller can receive a first signal from the input device, the first signal indicating a first constant speed of the electric motor, and, in response to the first signal, set an operational speed of the electric motor to the first constant speed. The electronic controller can further receive a second signal from the input device, the second signal indicating a second constant speed of the electric motor that is greater than the first constant speed, and, in response to the second signal, set the operational speed of the electric motor to the second constant speed.

A power tool includes a housing, an electric motor, a spindle, a retainer, a reciprocation drive assembly, a striker, and an anvil. The retainer is at least partially received into the spindle. The anvil includes a front anvil impact surface and a rear anvil surface opposite the front anvil impact surface. The retainer defines a retainer impact surface that contacts the front anvil impact surface in response to the anvil moving in a first direction along a reciprocation axis. The spindle defines a spindle impact surface that contacts the rear anvil impact surface in response to the anvil moving in a second direction opposite the first direction along the reciprocation axis. The retainer impact surface and the spindle impact surface limit a travel distance by which the anvil translates along the reciprocation axis.

A power tool includes a motor, a spindle defining a first end with a slot, and a crankshaft including a counterweight and a crank pin that are rotated by the motor about a crank axis so that at least one of the counterweight and the crank pin is rotated through the slot. The spindle includes a second end opposite the first end and defines a third distance taken between the first end and the second end of the spindle. The spindle further includes an anvil seat between the first end and the second end and defines a fourth distance between the anvil seat and the first end of the spindle. The power tool further includes an anvil received in the spindle, and the anvil defines a bit seat configured to receive a tool bit.

Electric power tool

A hammer drill includes a boss sleeve rotatably and externally mounted to an intermediate shaft separately from the intermediate shaft. The boss sleeve includes a rod coupled to a rear end of a piston cylinder via a swash bearing. The boss sleeve is configured to rotate to convert a rotation of the intermediate shaft into a reciprocating motion in a front-rear direction of the rod and transmit the reciprocating motion to the piston cylinder. The hammer drill includes a second clutch disposed at the intermediate shaft. By performing a switch operation of a slide position of the second clutch, a hammer mode in which the second clutch is engaged with the boss sleeve to reciprocate the piston cylinder back and forth and another operation mode are selectable. The boss sleeve is rotatably cantilevered not to be in contact with the intermediate shaft by an inner housing via a bearing.

An electric working machine with the same or more prevention or suppression of the transmission of the vibration than that of a related art because of having the less components and the less man-hours for assemblies than those of the related art is achieved. A hammer drill includes a motor serving as a driving source and is equipped with a drill bit driven by a driving force that is output from the motor. The hammer drill includes a main-body housing and a handle housing forming at least a part of an outer shell, and the main-body housing and the handle housing are connected to each other through an elastic body to be relatively movable. The elastic body is formed on the main-body housing and the handle housing by a double-layer molding, and is a part of a continuous resin cover covering surfaces of the main-body housing and the handle housing.
