MULTI-FUNCTION HANDHELD ELECTRIC TOOL
A multi-function handheld electric tool includes a motor housing receiving a motor, a settable clutch coupled with a speed reduction transmission, transmission housing coupled to the motor housing and having a first housing portion coupled to the motor housing, and a second housing portion extending from the first portion towards a chuck, and a setting collar which is rotatably fit over the second housing portion of the transmission housing and rotatable between a plurality of predetermined angular positions of which at least one corresponds to a non-torque limited first operation mode of the tool and the remaining positions correspond to different torque output levels of a torque limited second operation mode of the tool.
Hand-held power tool and method for operating a hand-held power tool
A hand-held power tool includes a tool holder, a motor for rotational and/or percussive driving of the tool holder, and a magnetic field sensor disposed in a vicinity of the motor, where a magnetic field of the motor that is created by driving the tool holder by the motor is detectable by the magnetic field sensor. The hand-held power tool further includes a control device where the control device determines a load state of the motor in dependence on a detected magnetic field of the motor and differentiates between an idle mode of the hand-held power tool and a load mode of the hand-held power tool based on the determined load state of the motor.
POWER TOOL COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A power tool communication system including an external device including a first controller configured to transmit, via wireless communication to a power tool, configuration data including a work light duration parameter value and a work light brightness parameter value. The power tool includes a housing, a brushless direct current (DC) motor, a trigger, a work light, a wireless communication circuit configured to wirelessly communicate with the external device to receive the configuration data, and a second controller configured to control a work light duration of the work light based on the work light duration parameter value, and control a work light brightness of the work light based on the work light brightness parameter value.
POWER TOOL
A power tool comprises a housing and a motor having a drive shaft. An output shaft is connectable to a tool. A mode selection mechanism is couplable between the drive shaft and the output shaft and arranged to transmit drive therebetween. The mode selection mechanism is moveable between a first position in which the power tool operates in a first mode and a second position in which the power tool operates in a second mode. A mode selection actuator is mounted on the housing and arranged to select at least the first position and the second position of the mode selection mechanism. An actuating rod is coupled between the mode selection mechanism and an engaging portion of the mode selection actuator. The engaging portion and rod are moveable in a direction along a longitudinal axis of the rod when the mode selection mechanism moves between the first and second positions.
IMPACT POWER TOOL
An impact power tool including a housing, a motor supported by the housing, a spindle coupled to the motor for receiving torque from the motor to cause the spindle to rotate, and a reciprocating impact mechanism operable to create a variable pressure air spring within the spindle. The impact mechanism includes a striker received within the spindle that reciprocates along a reciprocation axis in response to the variable pressure air spring, a piston that reciprocates along the reciprocation axis to induce the variable pressure air spring, and a crankshaft configured to convert continuous rotational motion from the motor to reciprocating linear movement of the piston. The crankshaft defines a crank axis perpendicular to the reciprocation axis, and the motor defines a motor axis that is parallel with the reciprocation axis. A center of gravity of the impact power tool is positioned between the motor axis and the reciprocation axis.
POWER TOOL HAVING HAMMER MECHANISM
A power tool, such as a rotary hammer, includes a housing, an output shaft for mounting a tool accessary and a motor having a motor shaft that generates a rotational output for rotating and linearly hammering the output shaft. The rotational output of the motor shaft is coupled to the output shaft via a driving mechanism that includes a hammer mechanism. An intervening member is axially movable relative to the motor shaft and is operably coupled between the motor shaft and the hammer mechanism. The hammer mechanism and the output shaft are supported by a movable support that is axially movable relative to the housing. Because the output shaft and the driving mechanism are movable relative to the motor and the housing, which preferably includes handle, via the intervening member and the movable support during hammering operations, vibration generated during hammering operations can be dampened before reaching the housing.
POWER TOOL AND IMPACT TOOL
A reducer appropriately selects from three or more variable speeds to match multiple operational modes. An impact driver includes a motor, a reducer that reduces rotation from the motor to select from three or more variable speeds, a plurality of actuators to be actuated by the rotation reduced by the reducer, and a switcher that selects, from the plurality of actuators, a specific actuator to be actuated in a predetermined operational mode. The switcher causes the reducer to cooperate with the selected specific actuator and actuates the reducer at a predetermined variable speed of the three of more variable speeds corresponding to the predetermined operational mode of the selected specific actuator.
Power tool having a hammer mechanism
A movable support at least partially supports a final output shaft and a driving mechanism, and is integrally movable relative to a housing in an axial direction of a driving axis. A biasing member biases the movable support toward a front side in the axial direction. A first guide shaft extends in the axial direction and slidably guides the movement of the movable support in the axial direction. At least one intermediate shaft rotates in response to rotation of a motor shaft and transmit power of the motor to the driving mechanism. At least one bearing supports an end portion of the at least one intermediate shaft is located in the front side in the axial direction. A single metal support is immovable relative to the housing and supports the at least one bearing. The single metal support has a first hole for partially receiving the first guide shaft.
Hand-held power tool
A hand-held power tool having hammer-drilling, drilling and screwing modes, including a mode-setting device having an actuating element, a setting element, and a gear unit for driving an output shaft, in which the actuating and setting elements are interconnected in a rotatably fixed manner, and, in an operating mode(s), the setting element is coupled to a transmission element supported at a coupling housing assigned to the gear unit and axially displaceable at the coupling housing in a screwing position associated with the screwing mode and is axially fixed in position at the coupling housing in hammer-drilling and drilling positions of the corresponding modes; the transmission element is connected to the coupling housing in a rotatably fixed manner, a predefined operating mode being settable by rotating the setting element; the setting and transmission elements being rotatable relative to one another, the setting element embracing at least sections of the transmission element.
Hammer drill
In a hammer drill, a coil spring that urges a first clutch and a second clutch in directions away from each other is held between a first change plate that engages with the first clutch to be slidable in the axial direction of an intermediate shaft and a second change plate that engages with the second clutch to be slidable in the axial direction of the intermediate shaft. The first change plate is slidably guided by a gear housing.
