The invention relates to medical devices and production thereof. The medical device may be a tubular medical device and has a high biocompatibility e.g. for use as implant. The medical tubular device may have a body structure extending from a first end to a second end of the medical tubular device and having a luminal surface and an external surface, wherein the body structure comprises an interpenetrating polymer network (IPN) comprising a host polymer matrix and at least one hydrogel guest polymer domain of a guest polymer, which is interpenetrating the host polymer matrix.

Expandable medical devices

A medical device with an expandable element and expandable tubular sleeve surrounding at least a portion of the expandable element which influences the rate, shape and/or force required to expand the expandable element and methods for use in a body lumen are provided.

Polyurethane Bonding Skeleton for Feeding Tube Device
20210338533 · 2021-11-04 ·

A feeding tube port for use in connection with an enteral feeding system is provided. The feeding tube port includes an inner core made of a first material and an over-layer made of a second material. The over-layer at least partially encloses the inner core, such that the inner core is configured to resist separation from the over-layer. In some aspects, the inner core may be formed from a rigid plastic material and the over-layer may be formed from a pliable material. The inner core may include one or more ribs, slots and/or apertures configured to enhance adherence between the inner core first material and the over-layer second material. The inner core may further include one or more contact points configured for attachment of a feeding tube valve other similar component to the feeding tube port.

Medical device with a tubular portion comprising a thermoplastic elastomer with soft and hard segments, method for preparation thereof, and use thereof

A medical device, a method for preparation thereof, and use thereof are provided. The medical device comprises a thermoplastic elastomer that is composed of soft segments and hard segments. The method for preparing a medical device comprising a thermoplastic elastomer, comprises forming the thermoplastic elastomer into tubing or other shapes via extrusion, molding, or coating, assembling the tubing or other shapes with other parts including: cables, coils, coated cables, or coated coils, and bonding the tubing, cables, or coils with other components including: other tubing components, cables, coils, sleeves, electrical pulse generator, defibrillation shock generator, electrodes, sensors, or drug release components. The medical device is used for correcting cardiac rhythm, defibrillating, assisting hearts, sensing, stimulating neurological systems, gastrointestinal system, or skeletomuscular tissues or organs.

BLOW MOLDED COMPOSITE DEVICES AND METHOD

The present disclosure is directed toward a composite balloon comprising a layer of material having a porous microstructure (e.g., ePTFE or expanded polyethylene) and a thermoplastic polymeric layer useful for medical applications. The layers of the composite balloons become adhered through a stretch blow-molding process. Methods of making and using such composite balloons are also described amongst others.

Rod shaped body and medical device

The present invention relates to a medical device. In particular, the present invention concerns a medical device which can be detected by means of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Coatings

Lubricious coatings for medical devices and their uses are described.

Embolization catheter with integral filter

An embolization microcatheter is configured to deliver embolization particles to a target area and minimize or prevent embolization of a non-target area. The microcatheter includes a section, located between the distal and proximal ends of the microcatheter, having a skeleton formed of braided wires and a polymeric layer intercalated into and/or overlaying the skeleton. This section includes a plurality of axial slits, each slit having a smallest cross-sectional dimension configured to prevent outflow of the embolization particles.
