Housing of a cutting tool including blade storage, integral blade guard and motor ventilation pathway
A jigsaw that uses a cutting blade generally includes a housing containing a motor activated by a trigger assembly. A blade storage compartment is recessed in the housing. A platform is provided in the blade storage compartment having a first edge that at least partially defines a first recess that extends further into the housing beyond the platform. A member is connected to the platform that produces a magnetic field that releasably secures the cutting blade to the platform. The magnetic field is configured to permit a user to tilt the cutting blade about the first edge of the platform into the first recess to overcome the magnetic field and remove the cutting blade from the storage compartment.
Rotary tool
A rotary tool assembly includes a rotary tool having a body with a working end and a rear end, a motor disposed within the body, and a drive shaft rotatably driven by the motor. A base of the rotary tool assembly includes a battery receptacle configured to receive a battery pack and a stand for supporting the rotary tool when the rotary tool is not in use. The stand includes two arms defining a tool receptacle therebetween in which the rotary tool is supported. A power cord extends between the base and the rotary tool to transfer electric power from the base to the rotary tool to selectively power the motor. The battery pack is received in the battery receptacle for form a foot of the base.
Fastener for installation tool for roof truss framing and construction system
An installation tool fastener is particularly adapted for fastening a top plate to a roof support member and other structural connections and is particularly adapted for use with an installation tool. The installation tool fastener has a head with a maximum head diameter and a recess for coupling with a drive coupler. The shank of the head has an unthreaded portion and a uniform thread which has a major diameter approximately equal to the maximum diameter of the head. The head preferably has a slight taper. The thread preferably has a 7.5 thread per inch pitch and a thread angle from approximately 25 to 45. In one embodiment for a 6 inch fastener, the thread length is approximately 5 inches and extends along the tapered distal tip.
POWER TOOL WITH STORAGE SYSTEM
A power tool including a housing comprising a handle section and a motor housing section, a longitudinal axis of the handle section being at an offset angle with respect to a longitudinal axis of the motor housing section. A motor is housed in the motor housing section. An output member selectively driven by the motor. A user actuatable trigger activates the motor and an attachment unit is removably coupled to the power tool. The handle runs from a first end to a second end. The first end is adjacent to the motor housing section and the second end is adjacent to a connection section. The attachment unit is removably coupled to the power tool at the connection section.
SCRENCH HOLDERS AND TOOLS HAVING SCRENCH HOLDERS
A power tool includes an electric motor operably coupled to a work element; a terminal configured to interface with a battery to provide power from the battery to the electric motor to drive the work element; a scrench holder, and a scrench, wherein the scrench is detachable from the scrench holder when the battery is detached from the terminal, and wherein the scrench is inaccessible when the battery is coupled to the terminal.
Power Tool Attachment
An attachment for a power tool. The attachment including a containing and an attachment mechanism attached to the container. The attachment mechanism configured to attach to an attachment point of a power tool. The container having a bottom and at least one side, including a first side, wherein the first side includes a magnetized region, the magnetized region configured to magnetically hold installable components to the magnetized region, the magnetized region positioned such that, when dislodged from the magnetized region, the dislodged installable components fall into the bottom of the container.
Power tool including an accessory
A power tool includes a motor, a foot plate, a detent system, and an accessory. The motor is configured to move a saw blade in a repeating pattern of movement. The foot plate defines a saw blade opening and includes a guide surface that defines a storage space. The detent system is supported by the foot plate and has a detent member. The accessory defines (i) a first detent structure configured to receive the detent member therein, and (ii) a second detent structure configured to receive the detent member therein. The accessory is positionable between (i) a use position in which the accessory is spaced apart from the foot plate, and (ii) a storage position in which the accessory is located in the storage space.
JIGSAW BLADE STORAGE
A power tool including a housing with two housing halves joined together at a joining line. A motor housed in the housing. A blade holder which is driven by the motor and is configured to hold a blade so as to cut an object with the blade. A blade storage compartment configured to hold the blade when the blade is not in use for cutting. The blade storage compartment is formed by the two housing halves.
DRYWALL SCREW GUN MULTITOOL
A drywall screw gun multitool (10) incorporates a screw gun on a first end and a cutter (60) tool on an opposing end. A drywall can turn the tool around to switch from the screw gun tool to the cutter (60) tool, thereby saving time and money in drywall installation. The drywall screw gun multitool (10) comprises an electric motor (50) that spins both the screw gun and the cutter (60). A drywall screw gun multitool (10) may also include a dust collector assembly (80) that draws air in from the cutter end (26) of the tool and through a filter (84). A drywall screw gun multitool (10) may also include a light 33 to aid the user in low light conditions and a stud finder (39). The cutter (60) tool and dust collector may be detachably attachable to the housing (20) of the multitool.
DUST COLLECTOR WITH FILTER CLEANING MECHANISM
A dust collector for use with a power tool comprises a housing, a telescoping suction pipe coupled to the housing, a suction fan positioned in the housing and operable to generate a vacuum in the suction pipe, a dust container coupled to the housing and positioned upstream of the fan, a filter at least partially arranged in the dust container, and a filter cleaning mechanism. The filter cleaning mechanism includes an anvil, a striker moveable between a first striker position, in which the striker is spaced from the anvil, and a second striker position, in which the striker is in contact with the anvil. The filter cleaning mechanism further includes an actuator moveable between a first actuator position and a second actuator position, in which the actuator is moved closer to the anvil than in the first position, and a first spring biasing the striker toward the anvil.
