Fittings, components, and associated tools
Fittings that generally include a unitary body having an outer surface and an inner lumen forming a void within said unitary body. The lumen is configured to receive threads for mating with the threads of a female sub end of a pipe or tube. The outer surface includes at least one aperture for receiving a tool that can be inserted within said aperture so as to rotate the fitting about an axis that extends through the lumen of the unitary body. The at least one apertures provide a safe and convenient way to tighten and loosen the fitting during the process of coupling pipe or tubing.
Winged screwdriver
This disclosure describes the invention of a winged screwdriver. Limitations of the utility of screwdrivers described prior art are discussed, including physical clearance requirements. These limitations are eliminated by the use of a winged screwdriver, which allows its user to provide sufficient torque for tightening and loosening screws with vertical clearance of as little as 2 inches. This screwdriver is assembled from two component pieces: a wingnut, and a machined piece, known as the screw-bit.
Wrench guard
A wrench guard includes a body portion defining a channel. The channel is configured to receive a handle of a wrench. A first sidewall extends from the body portion and defines a first side of the channel. A second sidewall extends from the body portion and defines a second side of the channel. A projection extends from the body portion. The projection is configured to be held between a user's fingers. A magnet is arranged in the channel. The magnet is configured to be magnetically secured to the handle of the wrench to secure the handle of the wrench in the channel.
Pipe wrench
A wrench includes a body having a head and a handle portion defining a longitudinal axis. The wrench includes a first jaw coupled to the head with the first jaw including first teeth and an edge. The edge defines a width of the first jaw. The wrench includes a second jaw extending through an aperture of the head with the second jaw including a threaded portion and second teeth. The wrench includes an actuator coupled to the threaded portion of the second jaw such that rotation of the actuator relative to the second jaw moves the second teeth relative to the first teeth. A length is measured from the edge of the first jaw to the second end of the handle portion parallel to the longitudinal axis. A ratio of the width of the first jaw over the length is less than 0.06.
Multi-functional grip tool
A multi-functional grip tool has a plurality of sockets and a fixing member. One end of each socket has a joint portion. One side of the joint portion is fixedly connected to the fixing member. Another end of each the socket has a driving portion. A circumferential edge of an upper connecting seat has a plurality of upper accommodating recesses corresponding to the sockets. A circumferential edge of a lower connecting seat has a plurality of lower accommodating recesses corresponding to the sockets. When the upper connecting seat and the lower connecting seat are joined together, the sockets are accommodated between the upper accommodating recesses and the lower accommodating recesses, respectively. The upper connecting seat and the lower connecting seat are formed with protruding seats, respectively. The protruding seat defines a receiving room therein. A tool lid is disposed on an opening of the receiving room.
Display structure for wrench
A display structure for a wrench includes a handle which includes a mirror surface or a matte surface. At least one display area is formed in the handle and is a recessed area in which at least two embossed areas and at least one blank area are formed. At least one display portion is formed within the at least one display area. The at least one display portion has a colored area formed on the top thereof, so that the at least one display portion has a color that is different from that of the body of the wrench.
Hammerless pipe union
A device for forming a union of pipe ends includes two pipe connectors, each configured for attachment to an end of a length of pipe at one end and for joining to the other of the two connectors at the other end and a nut having a bore with internal threads configured to mate with outer threads on the outer surface of one or both of the two pipe connectors. The outer lateral surface of the nut includes a plurality of handle connection structures. The device includes a handle for increasing the amount of manually-generated torque on the nut during tightening or loosening of the nut with respect to the outer threads. The handle has a nut attachment end configured to engage the handle connection structures, and is provided with a mechanism for reversibly locking the handle to any of the plurality of handle connection structures of the nut.
Schanz screw wrench combination tool
A wrench device includes a proximal member including a first recess and a second recess open to the first recess. The second recess has a width smaller than the first recess. The first recess receives a first screw and the second recess receives a second screw smaller in diameter than the first screw. The device also includes a distal member coupled to the proximal member. The distal member includes a first recess, a second recess open to the first recess, and a third recess open to the second. The first recess has a width larger than a diameter of the second recess. The second recess has a diameter larger than the third recess. When the proximal and distal members are coupled, the first and second recesses of the proximal member are in open communication with the first, second and third recesses of the distal member.
Hex Nut and Bolt Positioner
The Hex Nut and Bolt Positioner is a size-specific tool which enables the user to securely position a hex-head fastener into a hard-to-reach location, so the threads can be started. After the threads are securely engaged the wrench can be easily unlocked from the fastener and removed from the tight work space. The tool can also be used to remove already loosened fasteners without the risk of dropping them into the equipment.
