High reaching pruning apparatus
A high reaching pruning apparatus having an elongated telescoping pole, a foot brace and a hook for grasping a tree limb. The high reaching pruning apparatus has an opening in the hook for receiving a saw blade.
Self-Aligning Tool Guide
A tool guide has a mounting, a lifting mechanism, and a chassis. The mounting is for fixing a hand-held machine tool. The mounting is mounted on the lifting mechanism. The lifting mechanism has a propulsion unit for vertically lifting the mounting. The chassis has two wheels on a wheel axle, a drive coupled with the wheels, and a steering system. The lifting mechanism is rigidly mounted on the chassis. A center of gravity sensor is arranged to detect a lateral deflection of the center of gravity of the lifting mechanism relative to the wheel axle. The steering system is configured to control the drive to deliver a torque counteracting the lateral deflection.
Self-Aligning Tool Guide
A self-aligning tool guide has a holder for securing a portable power tool for working on a ceiling, a lifting mechanism, and a self-balancing chassis. The holder is mounted on the lifting mechanism. The lifting mechanism has a propulsion system for raising the holder parallel to a lifting axis. The self-balancing chassis has two wheels on a wheel axis and a drive coupled to the two wheels. A sensor serves for detecting a contact pressure of the holder, the contact pressure acting in the direction of gravitational force. The control station activates the propulsion system depending on the detected contact pressure.
Hand-held power tool and device comprising the hand-held power tool
The invention relates to a hand-held tool, in particular a nail-setting device, comprising a handle for manual actuation of the hand-held tool, an interface for fastening the hand-held tool to a remote actuation device, a control apparatus for controlling the hand-held tool in a manual mode and in a remote actuation mode, and a querying apparatus for querying whether the hand-held tool is fastened to a remote actuation device, wherein the control apparatus controls the hand-held tool in the manual mode if the querying apparatus detects that the hand-held tool is not fastened to a remote actuation device, and wherein the control apparatus controls the hand-held tool in the remote actuation mode if the querying apparatus detects that the hand-held tool is fastened to a remote actuation device.
Overhead drilling apparatus
A drill apparatus including an inner tube, an outer tube slidably received within the outer tube, and a pole extension mechanism. The pole extension mechanism comprises a pole advance gear having pole advance gear teeth, and a drive gear having drive gear teeth, the drive gear being coaxial with and fixedly attached to the pole advance gear so that the two gears rotate together. The pole advance gear teeth are received in aligned spaced apart apertures in the outer tube. The pole extension mechanism further includes a lever arm having an end pivotally mounted on the support collar at a lever arm pivot point coaxial with the drive gear and the pole advance gear. The pole extension mechanism further includes a stop pawl pivotally mounted on the support collar for rotation between where the stop pawl engages the drive gear and prevents downward movement of the pole inner tube relative to the pole outer tube, and where the stop pawl does not engage the drive gear, and a drive pawl piece pivotally mounted on the lever arm near the lever arm end.
Support apparatus utilizing counterbalancing means
A support apparatus anchorable to a fixed structure for aiding in the support of a hand-operated tool during use includes an articulated arm unit including linkages which provide the arm unit with a distal end to which the tool can be secured and an opposite proximal end. The arm unit includes a counterbalancing spring so that movement of the distal end of the arm unit relative to the proximal end thereof is effected with relative ease. A mount associated with the proximal end of the arm unit is capable of being secured to a fixed structure for anchoring the support apparatus thereto. In addition, three pins are joined to and extend from the body of the mount so that when the proximal end of the arm unit is pivotally connected to any one of the three pins, the arm unit can be pivotally moved relative to the mount about any one axis of a spatial arrangement including three coordinate axes.
TRANSPORTATION AND ELEVATION ASSIST DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TOOL HAVING STUCK BIT
A tool for removing a stuck bit of a drilling device from the drilling medium in which it was being drilled is provided. The system generally comprises a frame, a hydraulic lift operably connected to the frame, and a lifting platform. Operating the hydraulic lifting device may cause a strut to move in a linear direction, which may cause the carriage to move in a linear direction. By moving the strut in linear direction such that the carriage extends beyond the length of the drilling device, the carriage may contact the drilling medium, which may cause a lifting force to be applied to the drilling device. A user may then use the carriage to move the drilling device to a new location.
DRILL ASSEMBLY AND VALVE
The present invention provides a drill assembly that includes a drill for drilling rock, a support for supporting the drill, and a valve for releasably securing the support and drill together. The valve is adapted to receive a fluid from a pump means and controllably provide the drill and the support with the fluid for operation of the drill and the support.
METHOD FOR ENGAGING A DRILL TRIGGER ON A DRILL AS IT IS ADVANCED TOWARD THE CEILING WITH A DRILL APPARATUS
A method for engaging a drill trigger on the drill as it is advanced toward the ceiling with the drill apparatus. The drill includes the drill trigger positioned near the upper tube by a drill support for holding the drill, the drill support being mounted on the upper tube. The method includes the steps of: providing a strand looping over the drill trigger, so that the strand extends toward the lower tube. The strand is attached to the lower tube to secure the strand against movement towards the drill, so that the drill trigger is depressed by the strand when then the upper tube moves relative to the outer tube and towards the ceiling.
