Alignment Attachment for Screw Gun
A tool that mounts on a power driver or other tool for installing framing members in a building ensures proper and uniform spacing of the framing members. A support that may be a C-shaped band clamp removably attaches to the power tool. A generally tubular gauge body snap-attaches in place and a slide member disposed within the gauge body is adjustable to extend a sufficient amount so the combined length of the tubular gauge body and the extended slide member provide a proper spacing for the framing members. A slide lock for holds the slide member at the extended position. This allows the measuring and installation to be done without the installer having to set the power tool down or use a ruler or tape measure once the spacing is established.
Toe Notch Plate
The Toe Notch Plate attaches to a standard router and maintains the router at approximately a 75 degree angle from the work piece and is adjustable for use with ¾″ or ½″ material. It also maintains the router bit a consistent distance from the edge of the work piece. When the router is moved along the edge of the work piece it will create an angled groove providing a resting point for a nail gun and an entry point for brad nails. This allows the grooved piece to be toe nailed to another piece of wood which typically will be perpendicular.
Method for installing a pulling head assembly
A workstation and method for the installation of a pulling head assembly onto one or more conductors of a cabling system are provided. The workstation incorporates one or more of: a conductor clamp that holds the conductors of the cabling system in place during the installation of the pulling head assembly; a cutting guide having indicia marks that indicate the lengths to which to cut the conductors in order to achieve a staggered pattern of pulling eyes attached to the conductors in the pulling head assembly; a stripping tool that is used to remove a portion of the insulation from the terminal end of each conductor so that the end of the conductor may be inserted into the pulling eye; and a crimping tool that is used to crimp the pulling eyes onto the terminal ends of each of the conductors.
COUNTERBALANCE SYSTEM FOR UPPER HORIZONTAL SURFACE DRILLING OPERATIONS
A counterbalance system employs one or more springs to support a large motor drill on an upper horizontal work surface, for example on the tops of drill jigs or bushings. The counterbalance system supports the drill above the work surface where the counterbalance system can slide across the work surface to selectively position the drill over a drill bushing through which a drilling operation is to be performed. A user of the drill supported on the counterbalance system can then push downwardly on the drill to compress the spring and perform a drilling operation. On removal of the downward directed force exerted by the user of the drill, the spring pushes the drill upwardly to disengage the drill from the work surface. The user of the counterbalance system can then slide the counterbalance system and the drill across the top of the work surface.
TRACK SAW ASSEMBLY
A track saw assembly is provided including a track saw (i.e., a circular saw) having a shoe translatable upon a track. Various mechanisms control plunging of a saw unit and saw blade of the track saw relative to the shoe. For example, a plunge lockout mechanism is provided to prevent engagement of a trigger and prevent movement of a plunge mechanism. Various mechanisms control bevel angle adjustment of the saw unit relative to the shoe. For example, a linkage is provided and is operable to shift between a first position and a second position. In the first position, a bevel angle is restricted within a first bevel angle range. In the second position, the bevel angle is restricted within an expanded second bevel angle range. Other concepts relate to the interface between the shoe and the track and a clamp which secures the track to a workpiece.
BRADAWL CLAMP
To cut or score straight lines along sheet materials such as drywall panels, insulation boards, and timber sheets, it is commonly known to use a guide rail. Guide rail attachment means include screws, clamps, and/or adhesive pads. These securing means are time consuming to implement, and can cause damage to a main face of the sheet material. The present invention provides a guide rail securing device for releasably securing a guide rail 100 to a sheet material 200, comprising a guide rail attachment mechanism, and at least one penetrating element 20 to secure the guide rail securing device to the sheet material 200 by penetrating an edge of the sheet material 200. In this way, once the guide rail securing device is securely attached to the guide rail, a user may instantly connect the guide rail to the sheet material by penetrating an edge of the sheet material with the penetrating element.
Tool adapter for manipulating commercial tools with a robot hand
Provided is a tool adapter mounted on a handle of a tool to be gripped by a robot hand, the tool adapter including: a fixing part including an opening in which the handle of the tool is inserted to be fixed to the fixing part; a grip part including contact surfaces which are installed on left and right sides of the fixing part to be gripped by the robot hand, and configured such that as at least one of the contact surfaces moves in accordance with a gripping force from the robot hand, a distance between the contact surfaces changes; and a power transmission structure connected to the grip part and configured to convert a movement of the at least one of the contact surfaces into a movement of pressing a switch installed at the handle of the tool.
System and method for self contained through sensor for determining an actuation position for a machine
A self-contained hand-held through-skin (HHTS) sensor for determining the location of an underlying aperture in a support structure suited to mount a skin or surface. In an embodiment, the HHTS sensor includes a sensor disposed in a housing and configured to determine a location of an aperture disposed in an adjacent surface through electromagnetic, x-ray, ultrasonic or other means. The HHTS sensor further includes an alignment assembly having an alignment orifice disposed in the housing and configured to be maneuvered in an x-y plane within the housing. The HHTS sensor also includes a vacuum pump system, a local battery and a processor coupled to the sensor and configured to control first and second actuators to maneuver the alignment orifice within the x-y plane to be co-axially located with the aperture in response to the sensor signal.
Power tool apparatus and a method of use of the same
The current invention provides apparatus and a method for use with a drill bit to form a hole in a workpiece, said apparatus including a clamping means to clamp a workpiece in which the hole is to be formed in position with the apparatus, a drill bit holder assembly and drive means for rotating the drill bit and moving the same into the workpiece so as to drill the hole at a required angle and depth into the workpiece. Typically the depth of the hole is set in relation to the thickness of the workpiece which is clamped in position at that time and the apparatus includes a first part which is held by a first hand of the user and movable by the user with respect to a second part which is held by a second hand of the user and the relative movement is translated into movement of the drill bit holder to move the rotating drill bit into the workpiece.
DEVICE FOR SUPPORTING AND/OR GUIDING A MACHINE TOOL
A device for supporting and/or guiding a machine tool or a workpiece, wherein the device includes a contact body having a contact surface for contact on a work surface of a workpiece or a wall. It is provided that the contact body includes a holding element having an adhesive means for adhesion to the work surface, wherein the adhesive means, when the contact surface of the contact body bears against the work surface, can be brought from a positioning state, in which the adhesive means is not in contact with the work surface and the contact surface can be positioned with respect to the work surface into an adhesive state, in which the adhesive means adheres to the work surface and fixes the contact body on the work surface.
