Surface Marking Device and Method of Use Thereof
A device for marking a picture hanging spot on a mounting surface has a general U-shape encompassed by a support base, a front arm and a rear arm. The device is further provided with at least one bore, at least one pressing rod adjustably engaging within the bore, a plurality of padding means inward the U-shape, and a marking means on the rear arm facing the mounting surface. Therein, the pressing rod and the marking means are coaxially aligned, and the axis thereof is substantially perpendicular to the picture hanging spot on the mounting surface. Thereby, the pressure exerted on the pressing rod transfers through the axis thereof to the marking means that leaves a mark on the mounting surface.
Removable/Re-usable Bracket
Improvements in a reusable locating bracket for a recessed speaker or light bracket is disclosed. The bracket matches the hole diameter for a speaker of light. The bracket is installed prior to installation of drywall and is used as a trim guide. After installation of the drywall and cutting or trimming of the opening, the bracket is folded, bent, rotated or articulated where it can be removable through the trimmed opening in the drywall or sheet rock. The bracket has folding hinges for retaining side supports. The side supports are typically strips of cardboard, chip board or other material that provides a span from the bracket to studs, joists or beams. The folding hinges have teeth that grip the cardboard and can be opened to pull the cardboard through the retainer.
Portable appliance for marking a surface
The invention relates to a portable appliance for marking a surface, the appliance comprising a housing (2) presenting a front face that is open for passing a marker member that is moved by a device for moving the marker member in a two-dimensional marking zone (Z). The housing is provided with a positioning nose (30) for positioning the appliance over the surface for marking, the positioning nose defining firstly the two-dimensional marking zone (Z) facing the front face of the housing and at a distance from the front face, and secondly an opening (35) extending the top wall for enabling the two-dimensional marking zone to be viewed, the top wall of the housing being fitted with a display screen in such a manner that the screen and the two-dimensional marking zone as seen through the opening of the positioning nose appear simultaneously in the field of view of an operator.
Wheel blank outer rim scribing device
A wheel blank outer rim scribing device is composed of a wheel positioning and clamping system, an upper auxiliary system, a lower auxiliary system, a rim scribing system and a vision detection system. The wheel positioning and clamping system completes positioning of a wheel on a roller bed, clamping and rotating drive; the upper auxiliary system improves the axial positioning precision and power assisting rotation of the wheel; the lower auxiliary system improves the radial positioning precision and power assisting rotation of the wheel; the rim scribing system completes groove ridge machining of the outer rim of the wheel; and the vision detection system detects blanks having insufficient outer rim machining allowance. The device not only can scribe ridges on the outer rim of the wheel, but also can check the blanks having insufficient outer rim machining allowance.
Wood-I Floor Beam Square
An adjustable square for wooden I-beams the adjustable square being adapted for marking cut lines on an I-beam having parallel flanges with a connected web disposed there between. The adjustable I-beam square includes first and second tongue members adapted for engaging an outer surface of the first and second flanges respectively. The adjustable square for wooden I-beams further includes an adjustable blade assembly. First and second saddle members bridge the respective flanges and adjoin the tongue members with the adjustable blade assembly. The adjustable blade assembly extends in a plane perpendicular to the first and second tongue members.
INTERSECTING WALL CENTER POINT MARKING DEVICE
A device including a first wing section having a hinge segment, in which said hinge segment has at least two spaced apart side hinge segments; a first aperture, in which said first aperture has at least two apertures disposed at a proximate end of each of said side hinge segment. A second wing section, in which said second wing section including a center hinge segment, in which said center hinge segment is configured to be disposed between said at least two space apart side hinge segments; a second aperture, in which said second aperture is disposed at a proximate end of said center hinge segment hinge. Means for coupling said first and second wing sections, means for holding a marking implement and wherein said device is operable for drawing a proximate center point along a length of a corner of an intersecting wall.
Large panel handling and moving device
A panel handling device, has a wheeled portion, having plural wheels at a bottom section thereof, and having a plurality of teeth along a section thereof, said teeth being at different heights relative to the wheeled portion, and a second handle portion, separable from the first wheeled portion, but selectively attachable there to, said handle portion having a handle at one end, and having a slot at the other end, into which slot a surface of the wheeled portion is received, and having a panel handling tray at said other end, the panel handling tray having a surface for holding a panel, and the second handle portion having a teeth holding portion, which holds a position between said first handle portion and said second handle portion by holding into the teeth.
LOCATING POSITIONS ON COMPONENTS
A method of locating position on a component includes engaging a template with a component and marking a location on the component using marking features of the template. Marking a location can include marking a plurality of locations on the component using a plurality of respective marking features of the template. Each marking feature of the template can include a corner formed where at least two edges meet on the template. Marking each respective location on the component can include marking two line segments that cross at an intersection point, wherein the two line segments follow the edges of the template at each respective corner, to mark the respective location on the component at the intersection of the two respective line segments. For example, marking each location can include marking a center point location for a strain gage, as well as the horizontal and vertical orientation.
BLIND SLIDE-MOUNT FASTENER ALIGNMENT APPARATUS, KIT AND METHOD
A marking apparatus facilitates blind slide-mounting of an object to a mounting surface in a desired alignment using the object as an alignment template. A retention element in receipt of a post is movable against resilient bias to allow the head of the apparatus to capture a mounting slot in the object. The resilient bias moves the retention element to a gripping position, and a cover is rotated to cause a tightening element to secure the grip of the apparatus to the object. A rotational detent element offset from the head prevents the post from rotating with respect to the retention element. When affixed to the object, the apparatus is used to mark the appropriate location for installation of a fastener to supportingly engage the slide-mount slot of the object. The apparatus may include an orthogonality adapter to ensure that it remains orthogonal to the object during certain marking operations.
