Dual linear delta assemblies, linear delta systems, and related methods
A dual linear delta assembly includes a frame, a first linear delta system, and a second linear delta system concentric with the first linear delta system. Each of the first linear delta system and the second linear delta system may include rails mounted to the frame, linear actuators, each linear actuator coupled to a respective rail of the rails and configured to translate along a longitudinal length of the respective rail, pairs of parallel rods each operably coupled to a respective linear actuator of the linear actuators, and a platform coupled to a longitudinal end of each of the pairs of parallel rods opposite the respective linear actuator of the linear actuators.
PENDULAR HANDLING SYSTEM FOR A PRESS LINE
A pendular handling system for handling parts in a press line may have two articulated robots arranged on opposite sides with respect to the central vertical plane of the press line, each robot having at least four rotational axes in series between a robot base and a robot wrist, and each robot being mounted with the first axis horizontal and perpendicular to the press line flow direction, a first arm of each robot can swing in a vertical plane in the press line flow direction.
ROBOT SYSTEM, DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR APPLYING A PROCESS FORCE TO AN OBJECT
The present invention relates to a robot system, a device, and a method for applying a process force (F.sub.P) to an object within the scope of a task to be performed by a robot in relation to the object, the robot system allowing an amplification of the input force (F.sub.EIN) input by a user with simultaneous feedback control, so as to thus enable a sensitive control of tasks.
COMPONENT ASSEMBLY SYSTEM
A component assembly system comprises a first robot arm having a first end-of-arm tool mounted thereon and adapted to grasp a first subcomponent; a second robot arm having a second end of arm tool mounted thereon and adapted to grasp a second subcomponent. A system controller is adapted to control the first and second robot arms and first and second end-of-arm tools to position the first and second subcomponents relative to one another. A first interlocking mechanism is mounted onto the first end-of-arm tool and a second interlocking mechanism is mounted onto the second end-of-arm tool, wherein the first and second interlocking mechanisms engage one another and lock the first end-of-arm tool to the second end-of arm tool, thereby locking the first and second subcomponents into an initial position relative to one another.
Compact parallel kinematics robot
An industrial robot includes first and second kinematic chains configured to transmit the movements of corresponding first and second actuators to respective movements of an end effector. The first kinematic chain includes a first rod which is stiff. The second kinematic chain includes elements between the second actuator and the first rod such that the actuation of the second actuator causes bending forces on the first rod. The first and second kinematic chains thereby have the first rod as a common element, which improves compactness and accessibility of the robot. This improvement assumes that the robot is provided with one or more stiff rods that can bear the bending forces resulting from the actuation of the corresponding actuators.
MANEUVERING COLLABORATIVE DEVICES FOR A RESCUE MISSION
Approaches presented herein enable maneuvering collaborative robots to rescue persons in a hydrological disaster. A plurality of robots are dispersed in a body of water to spread out and seek victims using cooperative foraging techniques within resource constraints. A location of victims located by a robot using sensing techniques is communicated to other robots. A situational assessment is performed using victim location information to determine a number of robots to deploy to the location. The deployed robots are directed to perform coordinated maneuvers to create a connected floatation unit to support floatation of victims for rescue.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AN ARTICULATED ARM BASED TOOL GUIDE
A tool guide may be used with a computer-assisted medical device. The tool guide comprises an elongated body comprising a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The tool guide also comprises a joint attached to the first end of the elongated body and a mounting arm coupled to the elongated body via the joint. The tool guide also comprises a tool sleeve attached to the second end of the elongated body. The mounting arm is configured to be attached to a first articulated arm of the computer-assisted medical device, and the tool sleeve is adapted to receive an end effector attached to a second articulated arm of the computer-assisted medical device.
ROBOT MANIPULATOR SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING SUPPLEMENTAL SECUREMENT OF OBJECTS
A robotic manipulator system includes a first robotic manipulator and a second robotic manipulator configured to grasp an object. The first robotic manipulator grasps the object a first time and moves the object to the second robotic manipulator. The second robotic manipulator then grasps the object and the first robotic manipulator readjusts its position relative to the object before grasping the object a second time. One or both of the robotic manipulators then move the object a new location before releasing the object at the new location.
BOOM FOR MATERIAL TRANSPORT
A foldable boom for conveying an item, said foldable boom being foldable about at least one folding axis, said foldable boom being locatable in a folded stowed position, and moveable to unfolded extended positions; said foldable boom having a near end arranged for pivotal movement about a first horizontal axis located on a turret, said turret being rotatable about a vertical axis; said foldable boom having first conveying apparatus to convey an item therealong, internally within said foldable boom, to a remote end of the foldable boom; wherein said foldable boom is foldable about a folding axis, and a pivoting shuttle equipped with a clamp to releasably hold an item is provided at said folding axis to transfer said item between said first conveying apparatus in boom elements connected about said folding axis.
DUAL LINEAR DELTA ASSEMBLIES, LINEAR DELTA SYSTEMS, AND RELATED METHODS
