The information processing apparatus includes a control unit that, according to a change in a position of the autonomous moving body sensed by a sensing unit that senses the position of the autonomous moving body and a feeling parameter indicating the feeling of the autonomous moving body, causes a display screen to display a figure corresponding to the autonomous moving body while changing a state of the figure. The present disclosure can be applied to, for example, an apparatus and the like that controls an autonomous moving body.

A robot includes: a camera; a driver configured to control a motion of the robot; a memory configured to store information on a plurality of motions of the robot and a plurality of emotional states of a pet corresponding to the plurality of motions of the robot; and a processor connected to the driver, the camera, and the memory, wherein the processor is configured to: obtain at least one image of the pet through the camera, identify, based on the obtained at least one image the pet and the information stored in the memory, an emotional state of the pet from among the plurality of emotional states of the pet, identify, based on the information stored in the memory, a motion of the robot corresponding to the identified emotional state, from among the plurality of motions, and control the driver to cause the robot to perform the identified motion of the robot.
ROBOT
A robot includes an umbrella portion capable of performing a rotational movement and an opening/closing movement of an umbrella; and a processor. The processor acquires emotion data representing a pseudo emotion in accordance with an external stimulus, and controls, based on the emotion data, at least one of the rotational movement or the opening/closing movement of the umbrella of the umbrella portion.

The information processing method includes controlling, by a processor, an operation of a driving unit, and the controlling further includes generating control sequence data, and causing the driving unit to execute an autonomous movement according to the control sequence data.

Simulation of emotional state of an interactive device
A simulated emotional state of a device is generated and maintained based on previous emotional state and contextual information. A trigger is associated with an effect value. For example, successful completion of a task may have an effect value of +5 while task failure may have an effect value of −6. Upon occurrence of a trigger, an associated effect value of the trigger may be combined with a previously determined effect value to determine a function input value (FIV). The FIV is used as input to a function that provides an emotion value as output. The emotion value may then be used as input to determine a particular action. For example, if the emotion value corresponds to “happy”, the resulting action may be presenting an animation of a smile on a display device. As triggers occur, the function input value is updated, resulting in updates to the emotion value.

Various embodiments of the present invention relate to an electronic device for providing a reaction on the basis of a user state and an operating method therefor. Here, the electronic device comprises: at least one sensor; a communication module for communicating with an external device; a memory for storing reaction sets including at least one piece of reaction information corresponding to each of a plurality of interaction elements; and a processor, wherein the processor may determine an interaction element on the basis of a user's state sensed through the at least one sensor, provide a reaction related to the user's state on the basis of a first reaction set corresponding to the determined interaction element, refine the frequency of use of the determined interaction element, obtain at least one piece of other reaction information related to the determined interaction element from at least one of the memory or the external device on the basis of the refined frequency of use, and add the at least one piece of other reaction information to the first reaction set. Other embodiments are also possible.
