A component mounting apparatus for mounting a component on a substrate includes a pair of chuck claws that sandwich and grip the component; and adapters that are detachably mounted on the chuck claws and grip the component in place of the chuck claws. The adapters are mounted on the chuck claws in accordance with the component that is an object to be mounted and the component is gripped by using the adapters.

Gripper with a trident body section

A modular gripper has a body with a trident section and cylindrical section. A powering assembly is positioned in the cylindrical section. A pair of oppositing jaws is pivotally secured between a center wall and a pair of side wall, respectively, of the trident section. The piston rod moves a cam assembly on the center wall. The cam assembly passes through a body having a trident section and cylindrical section. The trident section comprises a trident structure that includes, at one end, a pair of side walls along with a center wall. The cylindrical section includes a fluid driven powering assembly. A pair of opposing jaw member are pivotally secured to the trident portion about separate pivot pins. A cam assembly is operatively connected to a piston rod of the fluid driven powering assembly. The cam assembly extends laterally outward with respect to a cylinder bore axis to receive a cam bush that engages with a through slot on each of the pair of opposing jaw members. The jaws rotate with respect to one another in response to fluid power in the cylindrical section. A pair of side plate members, each slide plate member has an elongated blind slot that receives an end of the cam assembly, the ends travel in the blind slot. Cam slots in the pair of opposing jaws, via a cam bushing.

The tension knob is configured to couple to a puller rod. A tension spring is within the main housing. The loading cap is configured to set the tension spring at an initial tension. The tension knob is configured to set the tension spring at a subsequent tension. A heater is configured to apply heat to the panel insert.

Gripper and transport system for a picking device

A gripper for a transport system of a picking device having horizontal storage surfaces for storing and dispensing small piece goods of different shapes and/or surface properties is provided. The gripper comprises a drop table extending in first and a second horizontal directions and having a storage and dispensing end face. Two elongated gripping jaws are arranged above the drop table extending in the first horizontal direction, and are fastened to a gripping jaw guide arrangement. At least one of the gripping jaws is movable in the second horizontal direction and at least one of the gripping jaws has a gripper coupler in its end portion facing away from the gripping jaw guide arrangement, and at least one transport attachment with an attachment coupler. The gripper and attachment couplers interact so that a transport attachment is releasably fixed at an end portion of a gripping jaw.
