WORKSITE APPLICATION TOOL FOR TAPE OR FILM
The present disclosure provides an apparatus for applying forces to a tape or a film. In one aspect, the apparatus has an edge for pressing and pushing tape or film uniformly across a surface, an operable light emitting device for illumination, a cutting blade, and a receptacle for a leash or lanyard. The receptacle for a leash or lanyard may be used to secure the apparatus to a belt, harness or other item, and to enable use of other tools without risking loss or damage of the apparatus.
KNIFE WITH INTEGRATED BLADE SNAPPER
A knife includes a body, and a blade slider slidably mounted within the body, the blade slider configured to hold and slidably move a blade relative to the body. The knife further includes a blade snapper pivotally coupled to the body, positioned such that when the blade slider selectively positions the blade to be engaged by the blade snapper, pivotal movement of the blade snapper imparts a force on a blade segment of the blade to detach the blade segment from the blade.
UTILITY KNIFE WITH A LOCKNUT
A utility knife with a locknut includes a case, a blade holder, a blade, a movable pushbutton and a locking device. A blade extension/retraction opening is formed at a front end of the case and provided for the blade to extend or retract, and a movable chute is formed on a side of the case and provided for the movable pushbutton to move. The blade is correspondingly installed in the case by the blade holder, the blade controls its extension and retraction in the blade extension/retraction opening by the movable pushbutton. The locking device includes a locking rod and an adjusting device and uses the adjusting device to adjust the locking rod and lock the blade.
KNIFE
A knife including a housing and a blade carrier, in which a blade can be fastened and which is movable in the housing between a safety position in which the blade carrier is arranged in a rear position such that the blade does not project beyond protective components formed by the housing and at least one cutting position in which the blade projects beyond the protective components. A spring mechanism is arranged between the housing and the blade carrier and loads the blade carrier into the safety position. The blade carrier includes first locking element releasably engageable with second locking element on the housing to lock the blade carrier in at least one safety position and/or in at least one cutting position.
KNIVES HAVING REPLACEABLE BLADES, CUTTING SYSTEMS, AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
Knives including utility knives, folding knives, and snap knives are provided. The knives including a blade holder configured to receive a utility blade. The blade holder connected to a handle. The handle having a first grip located on a first side of the handle and a second grip located on a second side of the handle. The first grip having a repeating pattern with a plurality of valleys having a first angular side and a second angular side. The first angular side and the second angular side meet to form a lowermost portion of the valley. The second grip having a surface with a plurality of discrete protrusions thereon along with a ridged surface.
Utility Knife with Blade Guide to Separate Detachable Blade Segments From a Multi-Point Utility Blade
In some embodiments, a utility knife and multi-point utility blade for use in the same are disclosed. The utility knife can include a blade segment separation guide (or guide) for separating detachable blade segments from the multi-point utility blade. The guide can be disposed along a handle member of the utility knife and include a channel configured to receive a distal-most detachable blade segment of the multi-point utility blade. In the event the distal-most detachable blade segment becomes dull or otherwise damaged, a user can insert the same into the channel of the guide and apply torque to the multi-point blade to snap off the distal-most detachable blade segment. A blade segment that was previously adjacent the snapped off blade segment then becomes the currently distal-most detachable blade segment. Thus a user can remove dull/damage blade segments to expose a fresh, sharp cutting edge of the multi-point blade.
UTILITY KNIFE BLADE WITH FUNCTIONAL CUTOUTS
A utility knife blade may include a planar body generally shaped as an isosceles trapezoid with a long base, a short base, a first leg, and a second leg, the long and short base being generally parallel; a sharpened edge formed on the long base; an engagement feature configured to retain the utility knife blade in a utility knife; and a first functional cutout extending into the first leg, spaced from both the engagement feature and the sharpened edge. A utility knife blade may also include a planar body defining an unsharpened edge and a sharpened edge; an engagement feature configured to retain the utility knife blade in a utility knife; and a first functional cutout extending into the planar body. The planar body is configured to bend without breaking upon application of a force transverse to the planar body that exceeds an intended force for the first functional cutout.
REPLACEABLE BLADE
A replaceable blade includes a blade provided in a long-strip shape. One side of the blade has a plurality of score lines, and each of the score lines is extended from two side edges and crossed the blade. Each score line includes a plurality of groove segments arranged collinearly, and the groove segments of each of the line scores are spaced apart from each other in a longitudinal direction of the score line. The replaceable blade has score lines in dashed line shapes to prevent an unexpected broken from happening.
CUTTING IMPLEMENT FOR HAMMER TACKER
A cutting implement for use with a hammer tacker is provided comprising an elongated plate for attaching to an elongated top surface of the hammer tacker; a pair of side walls extending upwardly from each side of the elongated plate and forming a slot for receiving a cutting blade; and an actuator for moving the cutting blade from a retracted position to an extended position through the slot such that when the cutting blade is in the extended position, a portion of the cutting blade extends past a front end of the hammer tacker without significantly obscuring a side to side sight line of the hammer tacker; whereby the elongated plate is sized and shaped such that when the elongated plate is attached to the elongated top surface it does not substantially increase the side to side dimensions of the hammer tacker.
Handheld Cutting Device and System for Cutting Sheet Goods
A handheld cutting device and system for cutting sheet goods is disclosed. The device includes a base and a grip. The base includes a bottom portion that sits on a top surface of the goods and a boss that is atop the bottom portion. The grip is rotatably attached to the boss, holds a blade that extends towards the top surface of the goods, and includes a blade holding mechanism that adjustably secures the blade at a desired depth relative to the top surface of the goods. The grip rotates relative to the base to provide beveled cuts in the goods at angles in ranges from about () 75 degrees to 0 degrees and from 0 degrees to about (+) 75 degrees relative to the top surface of the goods. A system including the cutting device and a guide tool also provides guided straight and circular cuts in the goods.
