The present disclosure discloses a double-edged art knife, including a knife shell and a knife holder; the knife shell is provided with an accommodating cavity and an opening; the opening is formed in a front end of the knife shell; the knife holder is separably mounted in the accommodating cavity of the knife shell; the opening is divided by the knife holder into a first opening and a second opening; the knife holder includes a knife rest and a pair of moving components; the moving components are symmetrically arranged on two sides of the knife rest; the moving components include a first moving component and the second moving component.

A knife includes a body, and a blade slider slidably mounted within the body, the blade slider configured to hold and slidably move a blade relative to the body. The knife further includes a blade snapper pivotally coupled to the body, positioned such that when the blade slider selectively positions the blade to be engaged by the blade snapper, pivotal movement of the blade snapper imparts a force on a blade segment of the blade to detach the blade segment from the blade.

Embodiments are described for a simple convertible utility knife and scraper includes a handle, slide mechanism, and flat spring with a centrally mounted utility blade. The flat spring locks into precut positions in the handle to secure the blade in the desired position, whether in a cutting position or a scraping position. The blade can be partially extended to expose the front of the blade in the cutting position. When the slide is fully extended, the blade can rotate about a central axis to a position perpendicular to the handle and then be retracted into slots at the end of the handle to secure and support the blade in the scraper position.

An auto-retract scraper is described herein. The auto-retract scrape comprises a housing, a slider, a blade, a rotating hard stop, and a torsion spring. The rotating hard stop is rotated clockwise forcing the blade forward and out of the housing when the slider is engaged.

A utility knife including a handle, a blade, a first blade holder, and a spare blade holder. The spare blade holder is pivotal with respect to the handle between an open position where the recess is exposed to allow a spare blade to be removed from the spare blade holder and a closed position where the recess is within a slot of the handle to inhibit removal of the spare blade from the spare blade holder. A cutting device has a selectively replaceable and reorientable blade. The cutting device includes a housing and a carriage that is movably disposed in the housing, the carriage being movable between a retracted position and an extended position. The cutting device also has a cutting member that is removably disposable and reorientable in the carriage and a cover member that is removably attachable to the housing. Further, the cutting device may include an adjustable blade depth assembly providing the ability to direct and/or pre-select the depth or length a blade disposed in the blade carriage will reach upon engagement of a dial component and/or switch member operably connected to the blade carriage.

A device is disclosed including a reloadable utility knife having a blade magazine with one or more compartments for storing multiple cutting blades. The blade magazine has a reloading compartment for new blades, and a storage compartment to keep additional blades. The blade magazine is loaded from the rear of the knife body and is locked inside. A working blade may be released before reloaded a fresh blade. The working blade can be extended or retracted multiple times via a blade transport mechanism. The blade magazine may be extracted via the lock mechanism and pushed out by a spring designed for this purpose. The blade transport mechanism, the blade release mechanism, and a blade lock mechanism work in cooperation to allow extension and retraction of a blade, disposing of a blade, and reloading of a blade.

A packaging card for a tool comprising a fixed member and a movable member that is selectively movable relative to the fixed member includes a tool engaging region coupling the packaging card to the movable member such that movement of the movable member relative to the fixed member moves the card relative to the fixed member. The card also includes a deformation region that tears or deforms upon application of a separation force sufficient to remove the packaging card from the tool. Another packaging card for a tool having a housing with front and side apertures includes a front flange receivable in the front aperture of the tool, a side flange insertable into the side aperture, and a hook catchable on an interior of the housing to deter removal of the packaging card from the tool until sufficient force is applied to overcome a holding power of the hook.

A utility knife configured with a retractable cutting blade that is extended and retracted by a blade actuation mechanism. The blade actuation mechanism includes a blade trigger assembly and a blade carriage assembly that are operably connected in variety of configurations, including a configuration with a rack-and-pinion arrangement between the blade trigger assembly and the blade carriage assembly. The rack-and-pinion blade actuation mechanism is configured to automatically retract the cutting blade as the cutting blade is lifted from the cutting surface.
