Novel Shearing Device
20190283263 · 2019-09-19 ·

A hand-held device consistent with the present disclosure includes a first member and a second member coupled together by a pivot point such that each member can rotate independently. The first member includes a first handle and the second member includes a second handle on a first region of each member. The area of the second handle is greater than the area of the first handle. The shearing device includes a protrusion on a second region of each member. Each protrusion is disposed at least 65 degrees from the corresponding handle of each member. The protrusion of the first member has a beveled portion above a cutting edge of the first member. During a cutting action, cross-torque force is applied upon the protrusion of the second member by the first member or a cross-torque force is applied upon the protrusion of the first member by the second member.

Low Friction Pivot Assembly for Scissors
20190270209 · 2019-09-05 ·

A low-friction hub assembly for pivotally connecting a pair of scissors or lever-like members employs a pair of cooperative hub members. A first hub member has an exterior threaded surface which threadably engages with an interior threaded surface of the second hub member. Each of the hub members has annular shoulders which engage against opposed annular surfaces of surrounding aligned pivot openings of the scissors. A locking member comprising a pair of opposed pawls engages a serrated surface to lock the subassembly. A throughbore extends through the pivot assembly.

PULL-TYPE CUTTERS
20190210209 · 2019-07-11 ·

One feature pertains to cutters that include a first lever, a second lever having a bottom edge, and a cutting lever having a top edge. A first member rotatably couples the first lever to the second lever, a second member couples the cutting lever to the first lever and/or the second lever, where the second member provides a pivot for the cutting lever to rotate relative to the second lever. A means for rotating the cutting lever relative to the second lever to move the top edge toward or away from the bottom edge when the first lever's first end is moved relative to the second lever's first end is provided, where the first lever, the second lever, and the cutting lever are arranged in a side-by-side configuration such that each has a longitudinal axis that is parallel to each other when the cutters are in a closed position.

HAIR TEXTURING SCISSORS

A hair texturing scissors is provided. Each texture scissor has uneven teeth for selective hair weight removal. The texture scissor provides a second scissor element pivotally connected to a blade portion. The second scissor element carries a plurality of spaced apart teeth, wherein the width and length of the teeth different from tooth to tooth in relation to a distance from the distal end of the second scissor element. As a result, the width of the interval spaced between adjacent teeth accordingly changes from the distal end to the proximal end of the second scissor element. Moreover, tooth form, width, and interval influence the hair weight removal, and if one of these three elements changes, the cutting percentage changes accordingly, which is enabled simultaneously by the present invention.
