A coupling head (19) of a first coupling member (18) is in a form-locking engagement in said coupling cavity to transfer a driving force, and is detachable from said coupling cavity by movement in an axial direction (24) parallel to an axis of rotation of the cutting unit. Said second coupling member comprises a plurality of recesses (31), each recess extending in a radial direction from said coupling cavity and being delimited by two radially extending side wall sections (31a,31b). Each of said two radially extending side wall sections forms an edge (32a, 32b) with a bottom surface of said second coupling member, and the edges of each recess converge in a radially outward direction in relation to said axis of rotation.

A shaving system is disclosed comprising a shaving unit (14) and a cleaning device (22), wherein the shaving unit (14) comprises at least one hair-cutting unit having a movable hair-cutting member; the cleaning device (22) comprises a supporting structure for supporting the shaving unit (14), and a receiving space (26) for receiving the shaving unit (14) when the shaving unit (14) is arranged in a cleaning position supported by the supporting structure (24); and the cleaning device (22) comprises a reservoir (32) for containing a cleaning liquid and a fluid pumping unit (38) for transporting the cleaning liquid from the reservoir (32) to the receiving space (26); wherein the shaving unit (14) comprises a driven coupling member (30) which is accessible from an outside of the shaving unit (14) and which is coupled to the movable hair-cutting member such that the movable hair-cutting member is drivable by the driven coupling member (30); the cleaning device (22) comprises a driving coupling member (28) which is accessible from an outside of the cleaning device (22), and an electric actuator (34) coupled to the driving coupling member (28) such that the driving coupling member (28) is drivable by the electric actuator (34); and the driving coupling member (28) and the driven coupling member (30) are arranged such that, in the cleaning position of the shaving unit (14), the driven coupling member (30) is coupled to the driving coupling member (28) such that the movable hair-cutting member is drivable by the driving coupling member (28) via the driven coupling member (30).

METHOD OF FOLDING METAL BLANK MADE OF HIGH-STRENGHT MATERIAL WITHOUT CRACKS

A method of manufacturing a component from a high-strength blank metal strip or sheet (MS) having a tensile strength of at least 850 MPa. The method comprises reducing the thickness (T) of the strip or sheet (MS) in a folding section (FS) so that a shaped section (SS) having a predetermined shape is obtained in at least a part of the folding section (FS). The strip or sheet (MS) is then folded along the shaped section (SS), so that a surface of a first section (1S) becomes arranged adjacent and parallel to a surface a the second section (2S) of the metal strip (MS). Finally, the first and second sections (1S,2S) are joined, so that the strip or sheet (MS) remains folded. With this method, it is possible to use high-strength steel, e.g. AISI 301 stainless steel, and still fold a thin strip or sheet (MS) without undesired cracks in the folding section. For example, the invention is applicable for manufacturing of plate-shaped hair-pulling elements (HPE) for a cutting unit (CU) of a shaving apparatus.

A carrier is adapted for use in a shaving device and includes at least one pair (15) of a cutting element (8) and a hair lifting element (14). At least one of the elements (8, 14) of the pair (15) has a bent shape, wherein the bent element (8, 14) is provided with at least two bending lines (17, 18). The bent shape of the at least one of the elements (8, 14) is such that in a functional arrangement of the elements (8, 14) with respect to each other, edge portions (11, 16) of the elements (8, 14) are located at a distance with respect to each other. Thus, a space (22) is present between the elements (8, 14) at the side of their edge portions (11, 16), which can be used for receiving cut-off hair stubbles which might otherwise hinder a movement of the hair lifting element (14).

The invention relates to a rotary cutting unit (207) of a shaving head of a shaving device, which cutting unit comprises an external cutting member (211) and an internal cutting member (212). In interconnected condition, a holding force prevents the external and internal cutting members from moving apart. Said holding force is at least exerted by a first central portion (221) of the external cutting member upon a second central portion (222) of the internal cutting member, and/or vice versa. Said holding force may for example be provided by means of a snap connection or magnetic attraction between said first and second central portions. As compared to rotary cutting units of existing shaving heads, the invention meets various known desirable design requirements, while at the same time providing for manual removal and insertion of the internal cutting members in a very easy, comfortable and intuitive manner, and the structure to achieve all this being non-complex and compact.
