The invention relates to a shaving unit for a shaving apparatus, comprising at least two cutting units (10a, 10b), wherein the cutting units each comprise an external cutting member (12) having a plurality of hair entry openings (13) and an internal cutting member (480) which is rotatable relative to the external cutting member about an axis of rotation. The cutting units each comprise a housing (20) accommodating a hair collection chamber, the housing comprising a base portion (551) and a cover portion (530) which is releasably coupled to the base portion, wherein the external cutting member and the internal cutting member are held in an operating position in the cover portion by means of a holding component (517) which is releasably coupled to the cover portion. The housing of each cutting unit has a closed condition, wherein the cover portion holding the external cutting member and the internal cutting member is coupled to the base portion and closes the hair collection chamber, and an opened condition, wherein the cover portion is at least partially released and at least partially removed from the base portion so that the hair collection chamber is accessible. The base portion of the housing of each cutting unit comprises a supporting structure (519), wherein in the closed position of the housing the external cutting member is directly supported by the supporting structure at least in an axial direction parallel to the axis of rotation. The supporting structure provides a direct transfer of axial forces, exerted on the external cutting member during use, to the base portion of the housing. Thereby, the mechanical load on the holding component is substantially reduced.
ROTARY ELECTRIC SHAVER
A rotary electric shaver generally includes a handle assembly having a longitudinal axis, and a head assembly attached to the handle assembly. The head assembly includes a plurality of outer cutters and a plurality of inner cutters, and a tray on which hair cut by a first one of the pairs of cooperating cutters is permitted to commingle with hair cut by a second one of the pairs of cooperating cutters. The head assembly is pivotably mounted on the head assembly mount such that the head assembly is capable of pivoting movement relative to the handle assembly about the entire circumference of the head assembly.
Shaving head and shaving head element with hair-receiving space
A shaving head has a plurality of shaving elements, each including a base portion having a separate space for receiving cut-off hairs, a cutter member for cutting hair, a drive shaft, a pivot pin connected to the cutter member and detachably coupled to the drive shaft, and a cap with a plurality of openings for letting through hairs to be cut off by the cutter member. The cap is movable with respect to the base portion between a closed position in which the space is closed off and an open position in which cut off hairs can be removed from the space. A support member disposed between the cap and the base is movable between a retaining position in which the cutter member is retained in the cap and a release position in which the cutter member can be removed from the cap.
Rotary electric shaver
A rotary electric shaver generally includes a handle assembly having a longitudinal axis, and a head assembly attached to the handle assembly. The head assembly includes a plurality of outer cutters and a plurality of inner cutters. Each of the inner cutters is paired with one of the outer cutters for cooperating to cut hair. The head assembly also includes a tray on which hair cut by a first one of the pairs of cooperating cutters is permitted to commingle with hair cut by a second one of the pairs of cooperating cutters. The head assembly further includes a fastener that extends longitudinally for attachment of the head assembly to the handle assembly such that the tray pivots relative to the handle assembly. The head assembly further includes a biasing element that circumscribes the fastener to bias the tray from a pivoted position into a non-pivoted position.
PORTABLE HAIR REMOVAL APPARATUS
A hair removal apparatus has a drive unit, a handle that allows a user to easily grip the apparatus, and a shaving unit that allows the apparatus to adjust to the contours of a shaving surface.
Electric shaver
The present invention relates to an electric shaver. More particularly, the present invention relates to an electric shaver comprising a handle and a shaver head including at least one cutter unit having a drivable cutter element and a shear foil, wherein the shaver head is connected to the handle by means of a support structure which in some cases may provide for some movability of the shaver head relative to the handle. The shaver head and/or the at least one cutter unit may have an elongated contour with a main axis extending transverse to the handles' longitudinal axis and substantially parallel to a cutting oscillation axis of the cutter element. The shaver head is spaced apart from the handle with a gap defined between a bottom face of the shave head and a top face of the handle, the gap forming a ring-shaped contraction in the outer contour of the shaver around the support structure and giving access to the support structure bridging the gap.
SHAVING UNIT WITH DRIVE SPINDLES EXTENDING IN OPEN SPACE
The invention relates to a shaving unit for a shaving apparatus, comprising at least a first cutting unit (10a) and a second cutting unit (10b), wherein said first and second cutting units respectively comprise a first and a second external cutting member (12) having a plurality of hair entry openings (13) which define, respectively, a first and a second shaving track (11a, 11b), and a first and a second internal cutting member which is rotatable relative to the first and the second external cutting member about a first and a second axis of rotation (6a, 6b), respectively, wherein the first and the second internal cutting members are connected to, respectively, a first and a second driven transmission element via a first and a second drive spindle (40a, 40b), wherein the first and the second driven transmission elements are comprised in a transmission unit (60), wherein the first and the second drive spindles extend from the transmission unit via an open space, which is present between the transmission unit and the first and the second cutting units, and through an opening in a bottom wall of, respectively, a first housing of the first cutting unit and a second housing of the second cutting unit.
