CABLE USE SYSTEM, OVERHEAD MOVING DEVICE, AND CABLE USE METHOD
A cable use system includes a plurality of support posts, a cable supported by the support posts, a winding device configured to wind the cable, a hoisting device coupled to the cable and configured to move in an air when the cable is wound by the winding device, and a cutting device hung from the hoisting device. The cutting device includes a cutting unit configured to cut a surface side of a tree all around.
CHIPPER ADAPTER SYSTEM AND METHOD
An adapter method and system includes a first side deflector, a second side deflector, and a top deflector coupled to the first side deflector and the second side deflector. The system may further include an internal deflector coupled to the first, second, and top deflectors. A first leg is coupled to the first side deflector and a second leg is coupled to the second side deflector. The legs are adjustable between a first position and a second position. The first, second, and top deflector define an entrance region for channeling wood-based debris into the chute of a woodchipper. Each side deflector may include a coupling mechanism for attaching to a woodchipper. Each coupling mechanism has an aperture. Each leg may telescope within a respective side deflector.
METHOD AND ARRANGEMENT FOR ASSISTING CONTROL OF FOREST WORK MACHINE
The invention relates to a method and forest work machine (1) making use of it, by means of which the control of the forest work machine is assisted. In the forest work machine, a light source (2) is adapted, which may be directed to one or more different parts of the surroundings around it, forming the working area of the forest work machine. This is adapted to produce at least one specifically defined specified-form light pattern (3) on said working area. With such a light pattern, visual information content may be produced on the working area to support an operator of the forest work machine in their work. As content of such information, it is possible to define control measures for the forest work machine, performed in any working area or their restrictions.
DETERMINING THE CONDITION OF A STRUCTURAL PART OF A WORKING MACHINE
A condition of at least one structural part (11) of a working machine (10) is determined by determining a computational position of the first structural part (11′) on the basis of the computational model of the working machine (10) and determining an actual position of the first structural part (11′) by detecting means (22). The condition of the at least one structural part (11) is determined on the basis of the difference between the computational position of the first structural part (11) and the actual position of the first structural part (11).
Log wrapper safety device
A device for securing logs from harvested timber to a transport vehicle, or logging truck, using log wrappers. The log wrapper securement device can be located in the inspection cavity of a forestry grapple. The forestry grapple is attached to a log loader. The log wrapper securement device includes a base plate sized and shaped to replace the inspection plate covering the inspection cavity. The base plate includes a slot sized and shaped to receive a portion of a chain end link or other chain links of the log wrapper, which can be inserted manually. The loader operator can remotely control the actuator to secure the chain link and release it, once the log wrapper is positioned over the other side of the logging truck. The log wrapper securement device can potentially reduce injuries and save lives.
ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING AND TRACKING LOGS
There is disclosed an arrangement for identifying and tracking a log. The arrangement comprises at least one imaging device that, when in operation, captures at least one image of the log, a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver that, when in operation, determines a felling location of the log, a remote server arrangement that, when in operation, receives data related to captured at least one image and the determined felling location of the log, and processes the received data to create an identification information for the log, and a data processor that, when in operation, checks if a query matches with the identification information in the remote server arrangement, and retrieves identification information corresponding to the matched query.
SELF-POWERED GRAPPLER ASSEMBLY
A grappler assembly having an assembly framework and a grappler device that is supported by the assembly framework. The grappler device has at least one pair of grappler arms that engages with a desired section of a tree to be removed. The grappler assembly incorporating its own independent power module for supplying hydraulic power to the grappler device and controlling operation of the at least one pair of grappler arms, and the power module is mounted solely to the assembly framework.
TREE AND POLE STABILIZATION TOOL
The disclosure pertains to a method and structure of securing a fallen tree or broken utility pole that has remained partially upright and in an insecure position, thereby creating a hazard to persons or property. The disclosure teaches a stand or similar structure that secures the partially fallen tree or pole during removal operations. The stand is load bearing and may be supported by at least one angled stabilizing leg structure. The structure may rest on ground support plates. The support plates may be attached to the ground by spike or anchor mechanisms. The stand can be extendable utilizing hydraulic or manual levered jacks or an extendable piston-cylinder combination. The structure can be placed under the fallen tree or pole and extended vertically upward into contact with the tree trunk or pole. The structure may use lifting components comprising cylinder/piston combinations, telescoping pistons, scissor lift components or similar.
Linking device for rotatably coupling working equipment to a crane on a working machine
The invention relates to a linking device for coupling working equipment, such as a head for harvesting trees, to the end of a crane boom on a working machine, said end comprising crane ears, wherein the linking device comprises a linking device body that supports a first rotation shaft defining a first rotation axis and a second rotation shaft defining a second rotation axis that runs substantially transverse to the first rotation axis, wherein the linking device is intended to be suspended by the first rotation shaft between the crane ears for free rotation of the linking device around the first rotation axis on the crane boom, wherein the linking device comprises first braking means for braking the rotational movement of the linking device around the first rotation axis, wherein the first braking means are arranged to move at least one of the crane ears towards the other to clamp the linking device body between the crane ears.
METHOD FOR MEASURING A TREE TRUNK, AND A HARVESTER
A harvester (1), comprising a harvester aggregate (2) for felling, trimming and preparing tree trunks, a first measuring device (I) provided in connection with the harvester aggregate (2) for measuring of at least one dimension of a tree trunk.
