FOLDABLE EXTENDABLE HEAD FOR AGAVE HARVESTING
This invention refers to an improved foldable and extensible head for agave harvest, characterized by including a vertical structure in whose lower end there is a support and fixation element of a lower-cut clamp, to cut the agave plant from its base, defined by a pair of straight-cut blades in a couple of curved clamps, completely opposing each other, each one fixed with its own rotating axis on the aforementioned support and fixation element. Each clamp includes a circular or semi-circular gear that allows the interlocking of both clamps and that together define a zipper mechanism to accurately synchronize the closing and opening movement between the clamps; a fixation structure of at least one hydraulic or pneumatic actuator is assembled in the rear area of the aforementioned support and fixation element, where the stem is pivotally fixed in the rear part, next to the rotating axis of at least one curved clamp to close or open both clamps as a result of the abovementioned zipper mechanism.
LOGGING SYSTEM AND LOGGING METHOD
A logging system includes a plurality of support posts, cables supported by the support posts, a winding device operable to wind the cables, a lifting and lowering device that is connected to the cables, and is movable in the air when the cables are wound by the winding device, and a logging device hung by the lifting and lowering device. The logging device has a gripping portion configured to grip a tree, and a cutting portion configured to cut the tree gripped by the gripping portion.
DETECTION SYSTEM AND DETECTING METHOD
A detection system includes a plurality of support posts, cables supported by the support posts, a winding device operable to wind the cable, a lifting and lowering device that is connected to the cable, and is movable in an air when the cable is wound by the winding device, and a detecting device hung by the lifting and lowering device. The detecting device is configured to be moved by the winding device in a region defined by the support posts, and lowered by the lifting and lowering device to detect information concerning an object.
Load Height Detection System and Method
A load height detection system having a load space, a crane comprising multiple booms and a boom tip. A grapple tool is adapted to handle cargo, being attached to the boom tip, and is adapted to provide sensor data for open/close status. The crane has a vertical slew angle, a rotational angle, a horizontal distance of the boom tip to the base of the crane and a height position of the boom tip relative to the load space. A controller receives the positioning data of the crane and the boom tip, the controller being adapted to interpret the data of the vertical slew angle, the rotational angle, the distance and the height data to identify if the boom tip is inside or outside the load space, and to identify a loading or an unloading operation by an increasing or decreasing boom tip height in the area of the load space at a final position, the final position being defined by an open/close status of the grapple tool, and determining a fully loaded or fully unloaded load space.
Forest Machine
The invention relates to a forest machine, comprising a chassis having a first chassis and a second chassis pivoted consecutively by a central pivot, first sets of wheels arranged in connection with the first chassis, an engine fitted in connection with the first chassis, a load space supported on the second chassis extending at least partly below an upper surface of the second sets of wheels, power transmission transmitting power to the second drive wheel of the second sets of wheels, wherein the second chassis includes two longitudinal parts attached to each other at least in front of the load space, which longitudinal parts are at a distance from each other in lateral direction of the forest machine at least over a partial length of the load space, in which forest machine the load space extends between the longitudinal parts in vertical direction of the forest machine.
Winching chipper
A winching apparatus adapted for horizontal rotational mounting behind the chipping feed rollers on a chipping machine. It has a rotatable vertical stanchion, that is pivotally coupled to first end of a horizontal boom arm that may be vertically adjusted between its ends so as to raise or lower its second end. At the second end of the boom arm is a swivel mounted plate that houses a high speed continual line uptake winch that is thus adjustable for simultaneous alignment of the rope puller with the line in both the horizontal and vertical planes. The device is capable of compensating for a constantly changing directional pull as well as feeding the downed foliage directly into the chipper.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING AND MANAGING ORIGIN IDENTIFICATION OF LOGS
Disclosed is a system for managing identification information for a log. The system comprises an arrangement for determining an origin of the log, a computing device communicably coupled to the remote server arrangement and a communication interface that is operable to transmit the captured at least one subsequent image to the remote server arrangement. The arrangement for determining an origin of the log further comprises at least one imaging device coupled to a forest harvester, a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver that is operatively coupled to the forest harvester and a data processor that is communicably coupled to a remote server arrangement and operable to process the captured at least one image and the determined felling location of the log to create the identification information for the log.
Grapple control system
A system and method for controlling a grapple is described in embodiments herein. A variable pressure control may be implemented that controls the pressure applied to a load held by the grapple. An interlock mechanism may be employed on the felling grapple that disables the operation of components of the felling grapple such as a feller. A grapple release mechanism may be activated to release the pressure applied to the load in the event of a malfunction in the felling grapple.
Forest Machine
The invention relates to a forest machine, comprising a chassis having sides, a swing bogie mounted on bearings to the chassis, comprising a swing frame, second sides and at least two wheels, a swing bearing attaching the chassis to mount the swing bogie, a power transmission arranged through the swing bearing in connection with the chassis, a support formed by two pairs between the chassis and the swing frame, each pair having a protrusion as a support surface and a rail as a counter surface to transmit lateral forces between the chassis and the swing frame during contact between the two surfaces, wherein each pair is located at a distance from the swing bearing on separate side of the swing bearing, and in each pair, one of the protrusions and the rail is attached to the side of the chassis and other to the second side of the swing frame.
APPARATUS FOR HOISTING AND FORWARDING OF LOGS
An apparatus for hoisting and forwarding of logs enables the forwarding of logs along an axis towards a processing area. The apparatus is adjustable in height either due to various configuration of ground or to various heights of processing area in various wood processing machines, and is comfortable both for each user as well as for manufacturers and distributors. The apparatus is also easy to transport to any desired locations by means of a tractor. To this aim, supporting legs on the apparatus are telescopic and connected a bearing framework, with a movable part engaging the ground. Bearing members on a hoisting unit are telescopic and embedded in the bearing framework, with a displaceable part (engaging the ground. The bearing framework may be provided on its side and faced away from the hoisting unit, as well as furnished with a coupling member for connecting the apparatus to a tractor.
