Timber-working device and method of operation
A timber-working device comprises a frame having a feed axis and a drive system configured to feed at least one stem along the feed axis. The drive system comprises a first drive arm pivotally attached to the frame on a first side of the feed axis, having a first rotary drive having a first wheel. A second drive arm is also pivotally attached to the frame on a second side of the feed axis, having a second rotary drive having a second wheel. The drive system also comprises a third rotary drive having a third wheel, and a fourth rotary drive having a fourth wheel, mounted on the frame on the first and second sides of the feed axis respectively. At least one processor controls operation of the rotary drives, such that in a first mode the speed of the respective wheels of the rotary drives on the same side of the feed axis is substantially the same, and in a second mode the speed of the respective wheels of at least two rotary drives on opposing sides is substantially the same.
Suspendable scale for weighing a bundle and a forest machine
The invention relates to a suspendable scale for weighing a bundle, comprising: a first part for suspending the scale from a structure; a second part for suspending an implement from the scale; a third part joining the first part and second part, the first part, second part, third part being at least partly radially nesting relative to one another; at least two strain gauges connected to the third part; a wireless transmitter for sending the measurement data to an operator; a self-powered power supply for feeding an electric current to the strain gauges and the wireless transmitter; a first space formed in the scale to integrate the wireless transmitter inside the scale; and a second space to integrate the power supply inside the scale. The invention also relates to an arrangement for hoisting a bundle.
Load control device and method
A load control device includes a camera to capture information of objects of load handled by a load handling device to forward such information to a computer, which compares load data derived therefrom with reference data in a data source and emits a signal to an output device in the case of a certain conflict between the data.
Method and system for controlling the crane of a working machine by using boom tip control
The disclosure relates to a method for controlling the crane of a working machine by using boom tip control, in which method the crane comprises at least two booms connected to the working machine and each other in an articulated manner, which booms are moved in relation to the working machine and to each other by means of actuators controlled by a control system of the working machine, and in which method the direction and speed of motion of the head of the crane, controlled by the driver applying controls in the working machine, is implemented by applying speeds of the different booms of the crane. In the method according to the disclosure the speeds of different booms of the crane are determined automatically on the basis of at least one of the following factors: positions of the different booms of the crane in relation to the extreme position of their range of motion; the maximum speed of the head of the crane achieved by the crane; maximum force achieved by the crane; location of the head of the crane in relation to the working machine; location of surrounding obstacles in relation to the crane. The disclosure also relates to a system for controlling the head of the crane of a working machine by boom tip control.

The invention relates to a system (10) for remote and/or autonomous transporting at least a portion of a tree, said system (10) comprising an unmanned aerial vehicle (100), UAV, comprising, at least one means (105) for holding said at least a portion of a tree, said system comprising at least one means for detecting said at least a portion of a tree to be transported, and means for detecting at least one of the group of tree parameters: diameter of a tree, length of a tree, tree species and/or the weight of a tree, a base station (120) for communication with said means configured for transporting said at least a portion of a tree and/or said UAV (100) and means configured for directing said remotely and/autonomously UAV (100) with said at least a portion of a tree to a final destination where said final destination is depending on said detected tree parameters.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL GRAPPLE-HEEL COMBINATION DEVICE FOR USE WITH A MANIPULATION MACHINE
A grapple-heel rack having a frame, a grapple, and first and second angle-enabler catches. A grapple attachment (which may be or may include a universal joint) may be used to support the grapple from a nose of the frame. A mechanical grapple return system may be used to return the grapple from a non-neutral position to a neutral position. At least one method for using the grapple-heel rack.
Grapple tip
A grapple tip includes an outer volume having a working end with a rounded surface. The grapple tip may further include a mounting end, a right side, a left side, a bottom surface, and a top surface. The top surface features a grooved recess that may help the device pick up, hold on to, and transport heavy items such as lumber or construction implements across significant distances. In addition, the grapple tip may also have a raised projection extending from the mounting end to ensure a secure and correct mounting on a damaged grapple assembly claw. The grapple tip is useful for upgrading or replacing existing tips that may have become damaged or worn.
VEHICLE LOG HITCH
A hitch attachment for dragging logs from a vehicle. The hitch attachment includes a base having a distal end and a proximal end. The proximal end of the base is configured to fit within a tow receiver of the vehicle. A vertical frame extends from the base in between the proximal end and the distal end. A log cradle is coupled to the distal end of the base. The log cradle includes a plurality of vertically extending teeth.

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a safe device with which, by forcibly braking the rotation of a grapple by means of an external force, it is possible even for an unskilled operator to bring the rotation to a halt and further to prevent accidents due to such rotation. Another purpose of the present invention is to provide such a device at lower cost. According to the present invention, a grapple has a lower frame that has claws for gripping timber and an upper frame that rotatably holds the lower frame, and is provided with a rotation braking means that applies a brake on the rotation of the lower frame.
LOG LIFTER WITH IMPROVED LEVERAGE AND ADJUSTABILITY
A lever device for lifting an object off the ground includes a lever member having a distal end that is positionable immediately adjacent a bottom end of the object. The lever device also includes a grip member that is operable with the lever member to lift the object off the ground. The grip member is adjustable relative to the lever member to accommodate a size of the object being lifted off the ground. The grip member includes a toothed or hooked end that grips an upper surface of the object to be lifted off the ground. The lever device further includes a handle that is graspable by a user to impart a lever force to the grip member and the lever member and thereby lift the object off the ground.
