The present invention provides for a shaving device and more specifically, to a portable shaving apparatus designed to look like a cosmetic container.

A hair trimmer is provided, including a trimmer housing having a drive end, a drive shaft projecting from the drive end, a support bracket associated with the drive end, and a cutting workhead connectable to the drive shaft and being supported on the trimmer by the support bracket. The cutting workhead is removable from operational engagement with the trimmer housing without the use of tools.

A friction control device (44) is adapted to induce a lateral strain (or stretching) within a human tissue surface to which the device is applied, in order thereby to reduce the static friction between the device and the human tissue surface. Hair clippers which incorporate a microcontroller, a number of DC or stepper motors, and sensors to carry out linear movements of the guard disposed on a body of the hair clippers to ultimately perform a haircut of variable length. A handheld personal care device according to the present disclosure includes: an operation switch configured to change a treatment operation of an operation unit; a sensor electrode configured to cause a change in capacitance depending on whether or not the grip unit is grasped; and a control device electrically connected to the operation switch and the sensor electrode and configured to control the treatment operation of the operation unit. The control device includes: a grasp detector configured to detect that the grip unit is grasped based on a change in capacitance of the sensor electrode; and a change permission part configured to permit the operation switch to change the treatment operation of the operation unit when the change permission part receives, from the grasp detector, grasp information indicating that the grip unit is grasped.

A beard trimmer may include a handle and a cover, as well as a cutting system with one or more vertical axis rotary cutting heads. The rotary cutting heads may have a moving blade and a fixed blade, each head being surrounded by a crown-shaped comb. The comb may be adjustable in height in order to adjust, in use, the distance between the blades and the skin, and thereby to adapt the cutting of the beard to the desired length. The cover is movably mounted between a closed position and an open position on the handle, such that the cover can be moved from an open position to a protection position where it is flush with the comb tines in order to store the device.

The electric hair grooming appliance includes a control circuit, and a touchscreen for receiving one or more inputs from a user and to facilitate communication between the user and the control circuit. The touchscreen is configured to send one or more command signals to the control circuit in response to receiving the one or more inputs from the user. The control circuit is configured to control one or more operations of the electric hair grooming appliance in response to receiving one or more of the command signals.
