The table device includes an active surface which is coated with at least one active material that is photoactive and antimicrobial. The table device furthermore includes an irradiation device, which is configured to irradiate the active surface with light. A passenger seat or a vehicle cabin may incorporate such a table device.

ENCLOSURE FOR ERADICATING BACTERIA AND VIRUSES
20210322602 · 2021-10-21 ·

An enclosure for eradicating bacteria and viruses. The enclosure includes a bottom, sides, and a top, creating an interior space to store objects. Each of the bottom, the sides, and the top include a UV light array that emits UV-C light to eradicate bacteria and viruses. Since the enclosure is configured to allow objects to be placed directly on the floor of the of the interior space, the bottom UV light array may be set back from the floor of the interior space to allow the UV-C light to disperse and cover the entire bottom surface of the objects. Specifically, a skeletal structure of the bottom UV light array may support a protective film above the array of UV light sources to create a negative space between the protective film and the array of UV light sources. The UV light sources emit UV-C light across a wide angle θ (e.g., 120 degrees or more). The wide angle θ of the UV-C light and the negative space allow the UV-C light from the bottom array to overlap and emit through the entire surface of the protective film.

FLUID STERILIZATION APPARATUS AND FLUID STERILIZATION SYSTEM

A fluid sterilization apparatus according to an embodiment includes a tubular cover; a tubular portion provided inside the cover; a supply head provided at one end of the tubular portion; a discharge head provided at the other end of the tubular portion; at least one light-emitting element provided in at least one of the supply head and the discharge head and allowed to irradiate an inside of the tubular portion with ultraviolet rays; and a temperature control unit capable of controlling a temperature of a space between the cover and the tubular portion.

Walk-Through Sanitizing Nebulization System
20210322615 · 2021-10-21 ·

Walk-through sanitizing nebulization system configured to permit people to walk through the system and are briefly, but sufficiently, exposed to a nebulized sanitizer for eliminating bacteria and viruses that may be present on the exterior surface of a person including skin and clothing.

ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT GERMICIDAL IRRADIATION DEVICE
20210316022 · 2021-10-14 ·

An ultraviolet light germicidal irradiation device includes a base member having a mounting plate for detachably securing the base member to a selected surface; an extension member detachably and substantially vertically secured to the base member; an arm member rotationally secured to the extension member, whereby, a top portion of the arm member is disposed outside the periphery of either side of an object to be decontaminated; an ultraviolet light housing pivotally secured to the top portion of the arm member, whereby, a front portion of the ultraviolet light housing has a pivoting range from at least twenty degrees above a horizontal plane to forty degrees below the horizontal plane; and an ultraviolet light lamp disposed inside the ultraviolet light housing, the ultraviolet light lamp emitting an ultraviolet light at a preselected wave length that destroys a preselected virus without injuring humans.

Mobile Disinfectant System
20210316020 · 2021-10-14 ·

A mobile system for disinfecting a surface is described, having a chamber having an inner housing at least partially surrounding the surface, a disinfectant source at the inner housing to apply a disinfectant to at least one portion of the surface, and a motor for moving the chamber along a predetermined path from a first position to a second position, the at least one portion of the surface contacted by disinfectant changing as a result of the chamber moving from the first position to the second position.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A SELF-SANITIZING DOOR HANDLE

A system for a self-sanitizing door handle includes a door handle configured to operate opening and closing of a door, a sensor configured to detect presence of a person in the proximity of the door handle and contact of the door handle by the person, a device for sanitizing the door handle, and a processor configured to receive a signal from the sensor and activate the device for sanitizing the door handle after being contacted by the person.

Ultraviolet Light Sanitizer
20210308295 · 2021-10-07 ·

A sanitizing apparatus sanitizes headsets or eyeglasses between uses by patients. The apparatus includes a UV-C lamp that generates UV-C light at a proper frequency and intensity during a time period of sufficient duration to kill bacterial and viral infectants on surfaces of the headsets or eyeglass frames that may come in contact with a patient's skin. The apparatus may also be used for sanitizing bone vibrators, otoacoustic emissions testing equipment, headsets used in impedance testing, insert earphones, and response buttons that are commonly used in audiometric testing. The apparatus can also be used in communication situations in which headsets are utilized with microphones, such as in call centers.

DISINFECTING AND/OR STERILIZING DEVICE AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING THE SAME
20210308299 · 2021-10-07 ·

The presently disclosed subject matter is directed to a device configured to sterilize and/or disinfect one or more flat objects, such as (but not limited to) credit cards, identification cards, papers, business cards, currency, passports, and the like. The device includes a housing that comprises an internal compartment sized and shaped to house one or more objects. The internal compartment includes a plurality of bulbs (e.g., ultraviolet bulbs) positioned such that the entire surface of an object housed within the internal compartment is exposed to the bulbs. One or more objects can be at least partially positioned within the interior of the compartment via inlet and outlet slots. Thus, in use, an object enters the device interior via an inlet slot where it is exposed to the emitting bulbs. The sterilized and/or disinfected object then exits the device interior through exit slot where it can be used.

Method and system for tissue treatment with critical/supercritical carbon dioxide

Methods of decontaminating bone tissue and an apparatus or system for the same are provided. The methods can be multi-batch processes and include contacting the bone tissue having contaminants with carbon dioxide to decontaminate the bone tissue and to form carbon dioxide having contaminants. The contaminated carbon dioxide is collected and the contaminants are removed to obtain purified carbon dioxide which can be recycled to treat contaminated bone tissue. The contaminated carbon dioxide can be purified by bubbling it through water and/or an organic solvent followed by acid treatment, filtering and liquefying the carbon dioxide. Contaminants that can be removed from contaminated bone tissue, and in turn, from contaminated carbon dioxide include infectious organisms, bacteria, viruses, protozoa, parasites, fungi and mold or a mixture thereof.
