A hairdressing razor for cutting hair having an elongated handle and a cutting head joined to the handle, wherein at least one blade holder for at least one blade is provided in the cutting head. In order to achieve an improved cutting result and a longer blade service life, the invention provides for the longitudinal axis of the blade to be arranged at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the cutting head. A single recess is provided on at least one longitudinal side of the cutting head into which recess a free cutting region of projects without extending beyond the longitudinal edge of the longitudinal side when a blade is located in the blade holder, and wherein a length of the recess is smaller than half the length of the longitudinal side and wherein a length of the free cutting region in the recess is smaller than 15 mm.

A shaving device comprising a head assembly including a support member having at least one support member magnet and a blade cartridge having at least one face with at least one razor blade and configured to be rotatably coupled to the support member about a pivot axis. The blade cartridge includes at least one blade cartridge magnet having a pole aligned with a pole of the support member magnet to generate a magnetic force that urges the blade cartridge about the pivot axis towards an initial starting position (ISP), wherein the blade cartridge is further configured to rotate about the pivot axis away from the ISP upon application of an external force sufficient to overcome the magnetic force between the support member magnet and the blade cartridge magnet.

A networked shaving appliance system includes: (a) a shaving appliance including a handle and a shaving head cartridge connected to the handle and motion, orientation, and/or pressure sensors associated with the handle and/or shaving head cartridge; (b) a sensor circuit connected to receive sensor signals and generate shave event information from the sensor signals; (c) a network circuit wirelessly connected with a computer network and communicating at least the shave event information to the computer network; and (d) a computerized tool operating, at least in part, on a computerized user device connected to the computer network. The computerized tool is configured to receive shave event data associated with a user of the computerized device from the computer network, receive user profile data from the user via a graphical user interface provided by the computerized tool, process the shave event data with the user profile data to generate user feedback information, and communicate the user feedback information to the user via the graphical user interface provided by the computerized tool.

The present application discloses a manual razor with self-cleaning capabilities having a handle. The hand having a blade housing at its free end. The blade housing having a razor blade held that firmly, but removable held within the blade housing. The blade housing may further contain a spring element that is integrated into the blade housing. The spring element may be adjacent to said blade, with the first end of the spring element connected to the blade housing and the second end of the spring element connected to the cleaning element. The cleaning element is snugly coupled with the cutting area of the blade, preferably encircling both sides of the cutting area, as well as the edge of the blade. The cleaning element is configured to be displaced or to slide forward and back along the length of the blade in an attempt to clear hair bristles and other shaving debris from the surface of the cutting area.
