Device for supporting razor blades
10486320 · 2019-11-26 ·

A device for supporting heads of a razor intended to be mounted on the handle of replaceable head razors, the handle having a coupling end for removably coupling a head. The supporting device includes a case element removably engageable with the coupling end, the case element having surfaces contacting, at least partially, the surface of the coupling end, generating a form-fit connection. The case element has attachment members for the engagement into corresponding attachment seats provided on the head. The present invention further relates to a head for razors and to a razor.

RAZOR BLADE, RAZOR HEAD, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE

An integrally formed rigid razor blade is provided. The razor blade includes a cutting edge portion extending along a cutting edge portion axis and having a cutting edge at one end, a base portion extending along a base portion axis, and a bent portion intermediate the cutting edge portion and the base portion. The bent portion has an average radius of curvature of between 0.4 millimeters and 1.05 millimeters. The cutting edge portion has a cantilever dimension which is a constant distance of between 1.1 millimeters and 1.8 millimeters when measured from the cutting edge portion to the base portion axis.

A shaver head comprising a blade assembly having one or more blades for cutting hair in a shaving direction; a skin adaptor extending from an outer periphery of said blade assembly and having a skin adaptor surface configured to be in contact with a shaving surface; a coil assembly, the coil assembly being configured to be transitioned between an active state and an inactive state and to generate an electromagnetic field in the active state. The electromagnetic field can be configured to cause pili muscles in the shaving surface to contract in order to expose hair of the shaving surface so that the hair is cut by the blades of the blade assembly.

The Disposable Razor Trimmer Guard is a guard that can be molded to fit any disposable razor and formed to have the guards at any length desired for trimming of body hair without the razor blade coming into contact with the skin of the shaver. The guards can be made to be of disposable material or material for long term use.

Razor blade, razor head, and method of manufacture

A razor head includes a housing and at least one integrally formed rigid razor blade. The housing has a top face defining a shaving window and an opposed stopping face. The razor blades are freely mounted in the housing and have a cutting edge portion and a guided portion. A bent portion is intermediate the cutting edge portion and the guided portion. A cantilever dimension, measured as the distance between the cutting edge and a guided portion axis, is between 1.1 millimeters and 1.8 millimeters. The guided portion cooperates with a guide so that each blade is independently translatable with respect to the housing along a sliding direction parallel to the guided portion axis under the effect of shaving forces applied to the blade during shaving.
