A shaving razor adapter used to attach a shaving razor cartridge to a razor handle. The razor cartridge has a pair of distally positioned arc shaped receiving regions and a camming surface. The adapter engages the razor cartridge with a pair of outwardly facing arc shaped bearings for mating into said pair of arc shaped receiving regions of said razor cartridge. The adapter has a recess and a pair of detents for receiving and engaging the handle. The handle has a biasing member to engage the camming surface of said razor cartridge.

A razor handle including a hollow, elongated gripping member having an open end, a second end and an intermediate opening, a cartridge connection member having a first end adapted to retain a razor cartridge and a second end forming an insert having a receiver, and a fastener adapted to pass through the intermediate opening of the gripping member and engage the receiver on the insert to securely retain the cartridge connection member on the gripping member.

Also, a method of manufacturing a razor handle including inserting an insert of a cartridge connection member into an open end of a gripping member, passing a stem member of the fastener through an intermediate opening of the gripping portion, and securing the stem of the fastener to the cartridge connection member to retain the cartridge connection member on the gripping portion.

A cartridge may include one or more blades and a frame supporting the one or more blades. The one or more blades may be exposed at an upper portion of the frame. The frame may receive the one or more blades in a longitudinal direction. The frame may also include a first guard member positioned on an upper portion of the frame and may be configured to align hair entering the at least one blade. The frame may also include a second guard member disposed in front of the first guard member. A through-hole or an opening may be formed between the first guard member and the second guard member and may extend through the frame from the upper portion of the frame to the lower portion of the frame. The through-hole may enhance a shave performance by convexly protruding skin through the through-hole.

A cartridge may include one or more blades and a frame supporting the one or more blades. The one or more blades may be exposed at an upper portion of the frame. Shaving assemblies are disclosed that include a blade unit, an interface element configured to connect the blade unit to a handle, on which the blade unit is pivotably mounted, and an return element disposed between the blade unit and interface element.

The return element serves as interface piece, connector and pivot all in one. Shaving systems including such shaving assemblies are also disclosed, as are methods of using such shaving systems.
