NON-METALLIC RAZOR BLADES AND RAZOR ASSEMBLIES THEREFOR
Non-metallic razor blades, such as those made with ceramic or glass, and more particularly to one or more unique features of such blades that improve the durability and useable life of the blade. The non-metallic blade may have a single-bevel design with a unique geometry. The blade may be made with a chemically strengthened glass. The blade may be made with single-crystal alpha-alumina in which the razor edge is oriented perpendicular to the c-axis. A razor assembly also is provided such as for use with non-metallic blades. The mounting head of the assembly is configured to restrict rotation of the blade about a pivot axis that is parallel to the blade edge. The mounting head also is configured to enable the blade to move axially in a direction perpendicular to the blade edge. The mounting head may orient the blades to enable passage of shaved hair.
Shaving cartridge with enhanced rinsability
The present invention relates to razor cartridge with a multifunctional seat that is attachable to a handle, plurality of blades without the spacers and a multifunctional cap obviating the use of spacers in between blades. The multifunctional seat provided with protrusions/selective seat and multifunctional cap with corresponding provisions to hold respective blade on the seat enables to dispose plurality of blades parallelly with respect to each other without the use of spacers and yet holding the blades rigidly in their predisposed positions during shaving and providing flushing channels for cleaning of the shaving debris during rinsing of the cartridge after shaving.
Razor with rotatable head
A two way razor is disclosed having a handle, a bracket, and a shaving head mounting dual opposing shaving cartridges each comprising a plurality of razor blades, and a swivel mechanism disposed between the handle and the bracket for exchanging the positions of the first and second cartridges' positions, the swivel mechanism comprising first and second disks where a first disk has two projections at opposite ends and a second disk has two recesses at opposite ends, such that the projections and recesses engage to lock the bracket in first and second orientations with respect to the handle.
Shaving razor cartridge
A shaving razor cartridge with a housing having a front portion with a front face and an upper skin contacting surface. At least one blade is mounted to the housing. The blade has a cutting edge extending toward the front portion. The upper skin contacting surface defines a bifurcated channel having an opening at a first end toward the front face and a pair of openings at an opposing end to facilitate the flow of fluid.
SELF CLEANING RAZOR
Self-cleaning manual razor equipped with a pair of rollers and a pair of blades arranged in an alternating manner with each other. The rollers move the hair, skin, and cream away from the blades effortlessly during the shaving process. The rollers rotate in unison with respective gears, which in turn rotate in unison because of a counter gear between them rotating in a reverse direction and whose teeth mesh with teeth of the respective gears. The self-cleaning razor may be equipped with a further blade downstream of the other two blades. A shield may be provided in the space between the lead roller and the lead blade. Side shields encase the gears to block the entry of cut hair, skin and cream to the gears.
Hair cutting assembly and associated method
A hair cutter has a base comb with a plurality of base teeth and a supporting comb spaced from said base comb having a plurality of elongated supporting teeth extending to a lesser extent than the base teeth. A cutter blade, which may be adjustable, is secured on the supporting comb side of the base comb in spaced relationship with respect to the base comb with a cutting edge extending in the first direction to a greater extent than the supporting teeth, but to a lesser extent than the base teeth. The hair cutter is structured to have the base teeth and support teeth engaging a portion of the body with progressive movement of the hair cutter serving to effect cutting of the hair to the desired length. The cutter blade may be caused to vibrate by a suitable vibrating motor energized by a battery.
Blade cartridge mechanism for a cutting device
A cutting device includes cutting device includes a housing including an aperture, and a blade cartridge removably coupled to the housing through the aperture. The blade cartridge is configured to hold a plurality of blades. The cutting device further includes a cartridge ejector configured to eject the blade cartridge from the housing.
Skin treatment personal care device and method of manufacture
A skin treatment personal care with a handle having a gripping portion at one end and a head portion at an opposing end. The head portion includes a heat dissipating housing having a top surface and defines a pocket. The heat dissipating housing is made of a material having a thermal diffusivity greater than 10 W/m K. A light emitting diode adapted to provide one or more skin benefits is positioned within in the pocket. A window forms a water tight seal covering the LED.
Proprioceptive shaver
A proprioceptive shaver for shaving/grooming intimate areas. The proprioceptive shaver for shaving one or more portions of a body may comprise a main body having a first end and a second opposing end, a user engagement member configured to provide multiple points of contact with a user's hand when in use, and a shaving assembly comprising a razor head having at least one or more cutting surfaces. The multiple points of contact may include areas at or near the metacarpophalangeal joint, proximal interphalangeal joint and distal inferior phalange of the user's hand.
RAZOR CARTRIDGE WITH A ROTATABLY ATTACHED HOUSING PORTION
A razor cartridge including a first housing portion having a first top surface positioned on a first plane; one or more razor blade members mounted in the first housing portion and each including a blade with a cutting edge; and a second housing portion rotatably attached to the first housing portion. The second housing portion has a second top surface positioned on a second plane, and the second top surface includes an engagement surface configured to receive a shaving razor component. The second housing portion has a first position in which the second plane is positioned at an angle of between negative 30 degrees and 30 degrees with respect to the first plane and a second position in which the second plane is positioned at an angle of between 70 degrees to 130 degrees with respect to the first plane.
