Bit retention mechanism
A blade retention mechanism that includes a body and a catch. The catch is configured to engage a bit. A knurled nut is configured to engage the catch and the body such that it is movable. When the nut is moved between a first position and a second position the catch moves between a first position and a second position. A v-groove is formed in the body and is configured to receive and retain a bit when the catch is in the first position.
SHAVING IMPLEMENT
A shaving implement has a guard provided to fit over a blade retaining cartridge of a razor configured for wet shaving. The guard has a frame defined by top and bottom rails, spaced by first and second side edges, and elongated members defining a grate. The elongated members have outwardly extending barbs configured to arrange facial hair during a shaving process. The guard is secured over the blade retaining cartridge of the razor. When disposed over the blade retaining cartridge, the grate portion of the guard spaces any blades retained in the cartridge from the surface of a user's skin while still leaving such blades at least partially exposed to the user's facial or body hair. This enables a user to trim, rather than fully shave, his hair and further protects the user's skin from the harmful effects of close shaving.
Dual sided razor
One embodiment of a dual sided razor comprises a handle and a cartridge attached to the handle, the cartridge further comprising a first shaving side and a second shaving side, the cartridge being switchable relative to the handle between the first and second shaving sides.
DUAL SIDED RAZOR
One embodiment of a dual sided razor comprises a handle and a cartridge attached to the handle, the cartridge further comprising a first shaving side and a second shaving side, the cartridge being switchable relative to the handle between the first and second shaving sides.
Razor cartridge
Disclosed here are shaving razor systems and methods including razor cartridges with a unitary frame having a length and width, a topside and an underside, wherein the unitary frame includes angled joints or bends connecting at least three guards running lengthwise on the unitary frame, the guards separated by at least three gaps in the frame, and at least three blades, affixed to the underside of the guards of the unitary frame, wherein the at least three blades include edges, and wherein the blade edges extend into the gaps in the frame when affixed to the underside of the guards of the unitary frame.
Razor blade with a printed objected
A method of making a razor cartridge including providing at least one razor blade having a cutting edge extending along a length of the razor blade and printing at least one printed object on the length is provided. The razor blade is positioned between the guard and the cap where the visible surface of the at least one razor blade includes a printed object. The printed object may extend continuously along the length of the razor blade and/or may have multiple portions having a comb-like structure. The printed object appears as a solid object to a viewer's naked eye. The solid object includes a plurality of printed ink dots not visible to the viewer's naked eye. The printed object of flexible, polymer ink may act as a guard element on the razor blade which helps with glide and to manage a user's skin (e.g., bulge) during shaving.
SHAVING CARTRIDGE WITH ENHANCED RINSING
A razor that facilitates a user's removal of shaving lubricant, cut hairs, and other shaving-related debris, from around, and between, the razor's blade(s). A scoop at the upper portion of the razor's blade assembly funnels water to the blade channel in which the blades are affixed, and at least a portion of that water flows around and/or over the blade(s). The scoop captures, and directs through the razor's blades, a greater volume of water per unit time than can be achieved with an unmodified blade assembly. The cross-sectional area of the scoop's inflow mouth is greater than that of the blade channel's outflow mouth, thereby promoting a Venturi effect which increases the speed of the water's flow over the blades.
RAZOR PRESERVATION SYSTEM
In one aspect, the present disclosure relates to a device that may extend the lifetime of a razor blade. The device may include a housing having a first opening at a first end of the housing and a second opening opposite of the first end; a desiccant to absorb moisture within the housing; a cartridge to hold the desiccant, wherein one side of the desiccant is exposed to the air inside the interior; a base body connected to the second opening of the housing, having a cavity to receive and hold the cartridge; a handle having a hollowed inside portion configured to hold an inserted razor blade handle; at least one one-way valve connected to the handle that, when the handle is inserted into the housing, allow air to be evacuated from the interior of the housing.
Shaving cartridge including a masking foil
A masking foil, for a shaving cartridge, and a shaving cartridge comprising a housing having a top surface, a bottom surface, a front edge, a rear edge, and a pair of side edges extending between the front edge and the rear edge. The housing includes a main blade disposed between the front edge and the rear edge. The main blade includes a main cutting edge extending toward the top surface and is movable in the housing. The shaving cartridge further comprises a masking foil. The masking foil includes a front portion located forward of the main cutting edge, a back portion located rearward the main cutting edge, and at least one ribbon which extends between the front portion and the back portion and which partially covers the main cutting edge.
Blade Cleaning and Storage System
A device for cleaning and organizing sheetrock knives is disclosed. The device includes a panel having an orifice covered on at least one side with brush bristles. The panel has at least one slot for holding sheetrock knives and may contain additional compartments for holding utility knives and pencils. When a user places the device in a five gallon bucket, she may rinse and brush sheet rock knives using the orifice and cleaning liquid in the bucket or she may store the knives and other tools in the slots and other compartments.
