Electric shaver with imaging capability
System and method for improving the shaving experience by providing improved visibility of the skin shaving area. A digital camera is integrated with the electric shaver for close image capturing of shaving area, and displaying it on a display unit. The display unit can be integral part of the electric shaver casing, or housed in a separated device which receives the image via a communication channel. The communication channel can be wireless (using radio, audio or light) or wired, such as dedicated cabling or using powerline communication. A light source is used to better illuminate the shaving area. Video compression and digital image processing techniques are used for providing for improved shaving results. The wired communication medium can simultaneously be used also for carrying power from the electric shaver assembly to the display unit, or from the display unit to the electric shaver.

Electric shaver with imaging capability
An oral hygiene device for use with a wireless network is disclosed. The device comprising a toothbrush for brushing teeth surface; a sensor for generating an output in response to a physical phenomenon; an first antenna for coupling to the wireless network using Radio-Frequency (RF) waves; a first wireless transceiver coupled between the first antenna and the sensor for transmitting a first data that is responsive to the sensor output over the wireless network; a rechargeable battery for powering the sensor, the toothbrush, and the first wireless transceiver; and an handheld casing housing the rechargeable battery, the toothbrush, the sensor, the first antenna, and the first wireless transceiver. The wireless network may be a Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN) such as Bluetooth, or may be a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) such as WiFi (IEEE 802.11).
RAZOR HANDLE WITH A PIVOTING PORTION
A handle. The handle can include a main body and a pivoting head pivotally coupled with the main body about a pivot axis. The pivoting head can have a substantially trapezoidal prism shape and can include a base member and a cover member that overlies the base member in a mating relationship. The cover member can have a face defining at least one exterior opening and the pivoting head can have an interior compartment comprising an electrical component.
Electronic subassembly for a personal care product
An electronic subassembly for a personal care product with a housing defining a chamber. The housing has a tapered guide surface. A first circuit board having a rigid end is positioned within the chamber and a flexible portion positioned outside the chamber. A second circuit board is positioned within the chamber of the housing. The second circuit board has an electrical connector dimensioned to receive the rigid end. An adapter is secured to the first circuit board between the rigid end and the flexible portion. The adapter has a corresponding tapered guide surface that engages the tapered guide surface of the housing to align the rigid end with the electrical connector.
RECIPROCATING RAZOR HAVING BLADES COUPLED BY LINKAGES THAT BEND AROUND STATIONARY PIVOT POINTS
A shaving razor. A first and second blade assembly each have a cutting edge oriented to shave in the same direction. The first and second blade assemblies are each displaceable along a respective first and second path substantially parallel to their cutting edge. First and second linkages couple together a first ends and second ends respectively of the first and second blade assembly. The linkages are configured such that a displacement of the first blade assembly in a first direction along the first path causes a displacement of the second blade assembly in an opposite direction along the second path. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

Method of assembling an electronic subassembly for a personal care product
A method of assembling an electronic subassembly for a personal care product by manufacturing a hollow housing defining a chamber having a first open end and an opposing second open end. A rigid end of a first circuit board is inserted into the first open end of the housing. A second circuit board subassembly having a second circuit board is inserted into the chamber through the second open end. The first circuit board is connected to the second circuit board within the chamber of the housing.
