Sterile sealing apparatus
Systems and methods are disclosed that include an operation chamber, a plasma generator having at least one plasma head disposed within the operation chamber and in proximity to a profile formed by cutting a piece of tubing, and a mechanical motion module. The plasma generator generates a plasma treatment and applies the plasma treatment via the at least one plasma head to the profile to activate material on an end surface of the profile, within a lumen of the profile, or a combination thereof. Once the material of the profile is activated by the plasma treatment, the mechanical motion module manipulates the profile to close the lumen of the profile to aseptically seal the profile.

An ionising device is described comprising a tubular bulb of electrically insulating or dielectric material extending along a longitudinal reference axis and having the two opposite longitudinal terminal ends and open, a tubular cathode engaged in the bulb, a tubular anode fitted onto the bulb, a pair of covers coupled to a relative end of said bulb so as to hermetically close it, and a conductive electrode comprising a stem extending into said bulb, and a plurality of conductive crowns which are fitted onto the stem at predetermined distances from each other and are suitable to exert an elastic compression on the tubular cathode against the inner surface of the bulb.
Air purifier with light-deflecting structure
An air purifier includes an interior volume divided into upper and lower chambers, with a motorized fan assembly being positioned within the upper chamber. An ultraviolet (UV) light source is positioned within the lower chamber. A lower fan shroud includes concentric annular ribs that extend axially into the lower chamber and terminate in respective flared distal ends. The flared distal ends deflect light from the UV light source to reduce leakage of the light into the upper chamber. A diffuser can surrounds the UV light source, is affixed to the fan shroud, and has angled louvers deflecting the light to further reduce leakage thereof. Embodiments include a cylindrical media basket surrounding the diffuser can and having a media material disposed therein or thereon. The louvers are oriented to direct the light from the UV light source toward the media material.

AUTOMATED BREATH ANALYSIS APPARATUS AND METHOD
The present disclosure generally relates to an automated breath analysis apparatus (100) and method (300). The apparatus (100) comprises: a set of input devices (110,112) for receiving identification data of a user; a sampling device (120) for receiving a breath sample from the user, the sampling device (120) comprising a nozzle (122) for the user to exhale the breath sample into the sampling device (120), the nozzle (122) arranged to hold a hygiene mouthpiece such that the user exhales the breath sample via the hygiene mouthpiece without touching the nozzle (122); and an analysis device (200) for receiving the breath sample from the sampling device (120) and for analysing the breath sample. The analysis device (200) comprises: a mass spectrometer (220) for measuring a number of biomarkers in the breath sample; and a computer device (230) for receiving the user identification data from the input devices (110,112) and for generating breath analysis results for the user based on the biomarker measurements.
