A shaving system may include a handle, a skin-contacting surface coupled to the handle, one or more blades coupled to the skin-contacting surface, and one or more sensors configured to record sounds generated during use of the shaving system.

DIGITAL IMAGING SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF ANALYZING PIXEL DATA OF AN IMAGE OF A USER'S BODY FOR DETERMINING A HAIR GROWTH DIRECTION VALUE OF THE USER'S HAIR
20220005218 · 2022-01-06 ·

Artificial intelligence based systems and methods are described for analyzing pixel data of an image of a user's body for determining a hair growth direction value of the user's hair. An example method includes aggregating a plurality of training images of a plurality of users' bodies, and training a hair growth direction model operable to output a hair growth direction value. The example method may further include receiving an image of a user comprising pixel data of a portion of the user's body or body area, and analyzing, by the hair growth direction model, the image to determine a user-specific hair growth direction value of the user's hair. The example method may further include generating a product recommendation, wherein the product is designed to address a feature identifiable within the pixel data of the user's body or body area.

DIGITAL IMAGING SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF ANALYZING PIXEL DATA OF AN IMAGE OF A USER'S SKIN AFTER REMOVING HAIR FOR DETERMINING A USER-SPECIFIC SKIN NICK AND CUT VALUE
20220005194 · 2022-01-06 ·

A digital imaging method of analyzing pixel data of an image of a user's skin for determining a user-specific nick and cut value after removing hair is disclosed. The digital imaging method includes: aggregating training images of respective individuals' bodies after removing hair; training, using the pixel data of the training images, a nick and cut model to determine skin nick and cut values associated with a nick and cut scale ranging from least nicks and cuts to most nicks and cuts; receiving an image of a user's body after removing hair; analyzing the user image using the nick and cut model to determine a user-specific nick and cut value; generating a user-specific electronic recommendation designed to address a feature identifiable within the pixel data of the user's body based on the user-specific nick and cut value; and rendering the recommendation on a display screen of a user computing device.

SENSOR-BASED SHAVING SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF ANALYZING A USER'S SHAVE EVENT FOR DETERMINING A UNIQUE THRESHOLD VALUE OF THE USER

Sensor-based shaving systems and methods of analyzing a user's shave event are described for determining a unique threshold value of the user. A grooming device comprises a handle having a connecting structure connected to a hair cutting implement. A shave event sensor associated with the grooming device measures a user behavior, which includes collecting a first dataset comprising shave data defining a shave event. The first dataset is transmitted via a communication device and is analyzed to determine baseline behavior data of the user, and a unique threshold value of the user is determined from the baseline behavior data. One or more subsequent datasets, each comprising shave data of one or more corresponding shave events, is compared to the unique threshold value to determine comparison data. An indication is provided, based on the comparison data, to indicate a deviation from the threshold value and to influence the user behavior.

Programmable hair trimming system

A hair trimming device arranged to detect positions of the hair trimming device in relation to a client's head and to adjust its trimming length automatically and dynamically according to preprogrammed values at any given point during a hair trimming session.

System and a method for treating a part of a body

A system for treating a part of a body to be treated includes a hand-held treating device and a position identifier configured to generate information indicative of the position of the treating device relative to the part of the body to be treated. A controller is configured to determine a path and/or angle of orientation of the treating device relative to the part of the body to be treated in dependence of the information generated by the position identifier. The controller is also configured to operate a feedback module to provide feedback to a user based on the path and/or angle of orientation of the treating device determined by the controller.

Systems and methods for trimming dreadlocks
11161264 · 2021-11-02 ·

A trimming assembly for dreadlocks comprises a handle. A cutting head is operatively connected to the handle. The cutting head comprises a cutting head body defining a receptacle at a radial end thereof. The receptacle is structured to receive a dreadlock. A blade protector is positioned axially within the receptacle. A curvature of the blade protector corresponds to a curvature of an inner wall of the receptacle. A blade is interposed between the blade protector and the inner wall. The blade defines a cutting edge at an axial end thereof proximate to the handle. The cutting edge is structured to cut loose hair protruding outwards from the dreadlock as the cutting head is moved along the dreadlock.

System for classifying the usage of a handheld consumer device
11755686 · 2023-09-12 · ·

A system for classifying the usage of a handheld consumer device having a sensor and an analyzer. The sensor determines usage data at successive time instants and provides a temporally successive sequence of usage data during a usage session. The analyzer classifies the usage of the device with respect to at least one set usage classes and assembles a temporally successive sequence of input tuples of usage data relating to a predetermined time period of the usage session, each of the input tuples having at least one element representing the usage data at the respective time instant and for inputting the sequence of input tuples into at least one artificial neural network arranged to output at least one output tuple comprising a number of elements in accordance with the number of usage classes, each element of the output tuple representing a prediction value that the usage of the consumer device at the given time instant relates to a respective usage class.
