GEAR SLICING TOOL AND MANUFACTURE METHOD THEREOF
A gear slicing tool and a manufacture method thereof are provided. The gear slicing tool includes a gear slicing tool body having concave and/or convex parts formed on a tool surface of the gear slicing tool body and a composite film layer disposed on the tool surface. The composite film layer includes a metal film layer, a transition film layer, and a functional film layer. A material of the metal film layer includes a metal. The transition film layer includes a first film layer and a second film layer. A material of the first film layer includes a nitride of the metal. A material of the second film layer includes a nitride of an alloy of the metal and aluminum. A material of the functional film layer includes a nitride of an alloy of the metal, aluminum, and silicon.
Cutting device
A cutting device for cutting a pipe having a pipe wall. The cutting device includes an elongate carrier having a tool end which is engageable with a power tool and an opposed free end. The device includes a guide wheel located at the free end of the carrier which is loosely mounted thereon for rotation relative thereto, having a bearing surface extending parallel to a longitudinal axis of the carrier. The device also includes a cutting element having a peripheral cutting edge which is located adjacent to the guide wheel being positioned intermediate the guide wheel and the tool end. The cutting element is of greater transverse dimension than the guide wheel so that when the bearing surface bears against an internal surface of the pipe the distance between the cutting edge of the cutting element and the bearing surface enables the cutting element to cut through the pipe wall.
SLICING MACHINE FOR FOOD ARTICLES
Cutting assembly for a food product high speed slicing machine, the cutting assembly (1) comprising a cutter (10) which is rotative around a central axis (A) and comprises a support disc (11), connected by its center to a drive unit (20) through a central shaft (21) concentric with the central axis (A), and a blade (30) releasably attached to a periphery of the support disc (11) by a fixation device, the blade (30) having a spiral cutting edge (31) lying in a cutting plane perpendicular to the central axis (A) and coplanar with a product holder (2); wherein the blade (30) is a non-closed curved blade; and the cutter (10) includes at least one blade (30), defining at least one independent continuous spiral cutting edge (31) with a ? ratio of at least thirty in at least most of the spiral cutting edge, so that the cut precision is improved.
Z-CHANNEL CREATION IN WOVEN PREFORM BY INCORPORATION OF PIN FEATURES INTO PREFORM TOOLING
A tooling assembly for debulking a fibrous preform includes a first tooling fixture comprising a plurality of receiving holes, and a second tooling fixture comprising a plurality of pins projecting toward the first tooling fixture, each of the plurality of pins corresponding to and extending towards one of the plurality of receiving holes. The second tooling fixture is engageable with the first tooling fixture to define an inner volume therebetween, the inner volume configured to support the preform during debulking while a compressive force is applied thereto.
Moveable cutters and net penetrating systems and methods
The problem of penetrating through nets and other objects is solved by cutting the object using various cutter systems, which include, for example a track and a moving carriage containing a cutter, a stationary carriage with a fixed or rotating arm, and/or abrasive cutters. The object is cut by a severing, slicing, or wearing action caused by a moveable blade or abrasive surface. An underwater vehicle incorporating an embodiment of the cutter system can cut a sufficiently large opening in the object to allow the vehicle to pass through.
Chipping-proof inorganic solid-state material and chipping-proof edge tool
A chipping-proof nonmetal inorganic solid-state material is characterized in that the inorganic solid-state material has, in at least a part of a surface thereof, a surface structure in which a network of recesses and protuberances surrounded by the recesses are formed, the protuberances have an average width of 5 nm to 50 nm, a physical property of the surface structure differs from the physical property of an interior of the inorganic solid-state material lying below the surface structure, and there is no solid-solid interface between the surface structure and the interior of the inorganic solid-state material.
Knife Having Beam Elements
A knife including a cutting edge, a fixed edge, and a plurality of beam elements connecting the cutting edge to the fixed edge, each of the beam elements having a beam element extent oriented between about 20 degrees and about 80 degrees off of the cutting edge, each beam element separated from adjacent beam elements by a reduced stiffness zone, each reduced stiffness zone having a reduced stiffness zone extent oriented from about 20 degrees to about 80 degrees off of the cutting edge. The knife can be employed in a process and an apparatus for cutting a web.
CUTTING DEVICE AND PRINTING APPARATUS
A cutting device includes a circular driving blade that rotates and drives, a circular driven blade that is driven to rotate accompanying rotation of the driving blade, and a holding portion that rotatably holds the driving blade and the driven blade in a state of cutting edges thereof being aligned with each other, wherein a tapered surface that becomes tapered from a second cutting edge side toward a second revolving shaft side of the driven blade is formed on the second contact surface on the side that contacts the driving blade in the driven blade.
Process for removing excess pasty material joining a plurality of substrates
A method comprising: a) contacting an article comprising one or more blades (10), the one or more blades (10) having a leading edge (12) curved upward and separated into prongs (14) by one or more notches (16) in the one or more blades (10), with two or more substrates (20,22) joined by a pasty material overflowing at one or more seams (18), where the one or more notches (16) of the article straddle the one or more seams (18); and b) moving the article or the substrates (20,22) such that the pasty material overflowing at the one or more seams (18) is removed.
CUTTING INSTRUMENT, COATING AND METHOD
A new and improved cutting instrument is provided having an enhanced coating. The coating includes titanium, chromium, nitrogen and carbon elements and provides increased wear resistance. The coating can be applied to a variety of metal and non-metallic substrates, which include scissors and knife blades.
