Cable stripper having an adjustable bushing

A cable stripper is provided which has an adjustable bushing which can be adjusted to accept a variety of differently size cables. The cable stripper is rotated around the cable to strip the insulation from a cable. The cable stripper can be attached to an existing tool to impact rotation of the cable stripper around the cable. The cable stripper includes a bushing having an axial passageway and a plurality of spaced slots which are in communication with the passageway, a plurality of cable retention blocks attached to the bushing, and a blade member mounted on the bushing, the blade member being seated within the passageway. The cable retention blocks are moveable relative to the bushing to pass through the slots and into the passageway to engage the cable mounted within the passageway. A retaining assembly is mounted on the bushing and fixes the position of the cable retention blocks relative to the bushing.

Automated Systems for Dispensing Food Products

A system includes a hopper, a permeable seal, a gas supply, and a receiver. The hopper includes an elongated housing holding a row of food products. The elongated housing defines a pressurized end opposite a discharge end through which the food products are dispensed. The permeable seal is interposed between an interior wall of the hopper and a surface of the piston. The permeable seal cooperates with the hopper and the piston to define a closed volume between the piston and the pressurized end. The permeable seal is configured to bleed gas from the closed volume toward the discharge end. The gas supply selectively supplies gas into the closed volume to displace the piston toward the discharge end. The receiver receives food products dispensed from the elongated housing and is positioned to allow the food products to move along at least partially by gravity.

Method for producing slit separator and method for producing separator roll

A good-quality slit separator having a small amount of fuzziness at a slit part thereof is to be obtained. The present invention includes: a step (S101) of conveying an original sheet (S); and a step (S102) of slitting the original sheet (S) by causing a plurality of slitting blades (72) to cut into the original sheet (S) such that tangent plane angles (.sub.3) in a tangent plane, on which a slitting position is in contact with the original sheet (S), are substantially identical with each other.

Bacon portioner/trimmer

Various systems, apparatuses and methods are disclosed for portioning and/or trimming cooked or pre-cooked bacon slices (or another food product) on a production line at full line speed. An exemplary system may comprise a food conveyor and a portioner. The food conveyor may have at least one transfer mechanism that carries bacon slices over at least one transfer comb. The portioner may have at least one fixed, stationary cutter positioned relative to the transfer comb in the path of the bacon slices. As the transfer mechanism moves the bacon slices across the transfer comb, the bacon slices contact the cutter and are moved by the transfer mechanism over the cutter, which cuts the bacon slices into two or more portions of shorter length.
