A cutting device is provided. The cutting device has a body which forms the structure of the device. A slot is formed by the body along the length of its bottom face. The slot is inset as a channel along the length of the bottom face, extending from front to back of the body. A cutting blade spans the channel at a distance above the bottom face and below a top of the channel. In a method of use, a material may be positioned in the slot, and the body may be drawn across the material (or material drawn through slot). The blade may then cut the material as it passes through the channel.

A food spiral cutting machine, suitable for cutting fruits or vegetables into a continuous spiral or julienne. The spiral cutting machine includes a base, a drive unit, a screw, a cutter assembly and a locking device; the drive unit comprises a motor, a gearbox and an open drive nut; the gearbox comprises a planetary gear reduction group and a pair of bevel gears, a first bevel gear connects to the output of the planetary gear set, and the first bevel gear drives a second bevel gear which is provided with a spline inside the gear center hole. The first bevel gear meshes with the second bevel gear at right angle. An open drive nut rests on the underside of the screw. A screw is provided with a slot along the screw axis. The spline of the second bevel gear keys with the slot of the screw. When the second bevel gear is driven by the motor via the planetary gear set and the first bevel gear, the spline in the second bevel gear turns the screw. As the open drive nut meshing with the screw is stationary, the screw rotation results in linear movement of the screw along the screw axis. The distal end of the screw is fitted with a spikey disk, where there is a center pin and circumferential spikes such that fruit or vegetable can be supported and butted against the cutter assembly. By the simultaneous rotation and linear movement of the screw, the required motion to spirally cut fruit or vegetable is realized.

ELASTIC SELF-POSITIONING PRE-DICING DEVICE AND METHOD

An elastic self-positioning pre-dicing device and method, the device includes a V-shaped self-positioning device, a cutter and a separation device; the V-shaped self-positioning device includes first and second elastic conveying faces which form a V-shaped conveying space, and materials are kept in a vertical state when arriving at a bottom end between the two elastic conveying faces with the conveying of the faces; the cutter is arranged at the bottom end between the two faces to cut the materials in half along a long axis; and the separation device is arranged at the lower part of the cutter and configured to convey the materials cut in half to next stage respectively. This overcomes the defects of low efficiency in manual dicing of seed potatoes and waste of seed potatoes. The half-cut seed potatoes will be conveyed to next intelligent dice identification station to ensure high utilization of seed potato production.

Drive means rotates the rotatable blade apparatus into the food product to form slices. A substrate is disposed beneath the rotatable blade apparatus for receiving slices formed by the rotatable blade apparatus. The substrate may be a pizza crust and the food product may be a pepperoni stick.
