Apparatus For Ventilating Fabric Used To Make Pocketed Springs
An apparatus for ventilating a web of material used in the manufacture of pocketed springs may be removably attached to a pocket coiler. The apparatus has an upper movable portion which pivots relative to a stationary portion. The stationary portion may be removably attached to the pocket coiler. Each portion has at least one roller, a web of material passing between the rollers during use. One of the rollers may have protrusions to create openings in the material before the material enters the pocket coiler.
Dicing machines and methods of use
Methods and machines for cutting solid and semisolid materials, for example, food products. The machine has a dicing unit that has a feed drum, circular cutter, and cross-cutter each individually rotatably mounted to a support structure by cantilevered shafts. The machine further has a knife for producing slices of a solid or semisolid material, circular knives on the circular cutter to cut the slices into strips, and cross-cut knives on the cross-cutter to dice the strips. The machine also has a stripper plate for removing the strips from the circular cutter, and an outboard support assembly for supporting and radially centering outboard ends of the shafts of the feed drum, circular cutter, and cross-cutter and for supporting and securing the stripper plate relative thereto.

A measuring method for measuring a height of an upper surface of a stepped portion provided to an outer circumference on a top surface side of a measurement target object includes a holding step of holding an undersurface side of the measurement target object by a holding table such that the stepped portion is exposed upward, and a measuring step of measuring the height of the upper surface of the stepped portion by a measuring unit, a width of a measurement region on the upper surface of the stepped portion to be measured by the measuring unit in one time of measurement being smaller than a width of the stepped portion, and in the measuring step, the height of the upper surface of the stepped portion is measured at a plurality of measurement positions having different distances from the outer circumference of the measurement target object.

A food processing apparatus for the cutting of foodstuff comprising a first cutter having a cross/sectional shape defining a first maximal external diameter and a first minimal internal diameter about a first central axis. A second cutter having a cross-sectional shape defining a second maximal external diameter and a second minimal internal diameter about a second central axis is also provided. The second maximal external diameter of the second cutter is greater than or equal to the first minimal internal diameter of the first cutter. In use, the foodstuff is cut by the second cutter before being cut by the first cutter, or alternatively the first cutter may make the first cut with the second cutter making a second subsequent cut.
