Cutting device
A cutting device of cutting a soft honeycomb mold body in a cutting direction perpendicular to an axial direction of the honeycomb mold body. A cutting device has a wire, a tension supply part and a pair of ultrasonic generators. The wire has a contact part which is stretched and in contact with the honeycomb mold body when the honeycomb mold body is cut. The tension supply part supplies tensile to the contact part when the honeycomb mold body is cut. The pair of ultrasonic generators have respective vibrator terminals arranged in contact with the contact part of the wire. The ultrasonic generators generate ultrasonic vibration in the cutting direction and supply the generated ultrasonic vibration directly to the wire.
Device for releasing glasses from vehicle bodies and a method of releasing glasses from vehicle bodies
The invention discloses a device (1) for releasing glasses (2) from the bodies (3) of vehicles where the device (1) comprises a frame (4), at least one suction pad (5), one guide pulley (6) fitted with two guide grooves (7) for guiding a cutting wire (8), or two guide pulleys (6) with a common central line, and two winding pulleys (9). The winding pulleys are fitted with winding grooves (10) for winding the cutting wire (8) and a spacing element or a spacing pulley (11) keeping the cutting wire (8) at a safe distance from the suction pad (5). During releasing the glass (2) the cutting angle (α) of the cutting wire (8) does not exceed the value of 90°. Each end of the cutting wire (8) is wound onto the winding pulleys (9) due to the guide grooves (7) wherein a safe distance from the suction pad (5) is ensured to eliminate their damage.

METHOD OF CUTTING ACCURATE DESIGNS IN CNC MACHINE USING HOT-WIRE/EDM METHODS
In conventional machining process, it is sometimes desirable to cut internal features with sharp corners. But normal machining process using end mills fail to achieve sharp corners, as they leave a fillet material equal to tool radius unmachined. In this invention, it is proposed to design a special tool and a 4-axis robotic handling system, to achieve sharp corner radius even for internal features, at the same time achieving high material removal rates. An intelligent cutting method is proposed in this invention for cutting big blocks of materials using multiple wires. The proposed method provides several benefits like achieving high dimensional accuracies, sharp corners, easy to handle shredded scrap materials etc. A method for automatically generating the cutting tool path for single and multiple nested pipes is also proposed.
Tape system with a longitudinal filament for slitting film
A vehicle is wrapped by an adhesive film which is then slit by applying first tape to the vehicle having a longitudinally extending filament carried by the tape at a position spaced from the side edges. A second tape is applied over the film at the first tape body so as to bridge to each side of the filament and pulling the filament so as to tear through the film and the first ad second tapes body with the second tape applying a force to the film acting to reduce tendency of the film to pull away from the object during the cutting by the filament as the filament is pulled.
Robotic system and method for manufacturing of objects
A method and a system for manufacturing a mold for creation of complex objects by controlling and moving two end effectors of a robotic system is provided. The two end effectors have a flexible cutting element attached to, and extending between, the two end effectors. The method includes the steps of: defining at least one surface representing the inner surface of the mold; dividing the surface into a number of segments represented by planar curves on the surface; for each planar curve, calculating at least one elastic curve representing the planar curve; for each calculated elastic curve, calculating a set of data corresponding to placement and direction of the two end effectors for configuring the flexible cutting element to a shape corresponding to the calculated elastic curve; and sequentially positioning the end effectors according to each set of data. The flexible cutting element thereby cuts the mold from a block.

A winder unit (1) for winding cutting line (41), for vehicle glazing panel removal, has a rotatable spindle shaft (61) for winding the cutting line (41) and a ratchet device (90) mounted to the spindle shaft (61) by means of a one-way rotational bearing or clutch (75). Typically the ratchet device (90) has a component mounted to rotate in unison with the one-way rotational bearing or clutch. The improvement provides a rotational directional control providing 2 one-way rotational control devices in concert.
