SLICING MACHINE WITH PRODUCT RECOGNITION DEVICE
In order to reliably detect, without supplying electric current or any other type of energy to a gripper, whether a rear end of a product caliber is in a grippable position close to a gripper base body and/or gripper claws are extended into the product caliber, i.e., are activated, a signal transmitter may be moved into an activated position via a purely mechanical operative connection between a sensing element, which detects the approach of the product caliber to the gripper base body in a contacting manner, which position can be detected by a sensor arranged far behind the gripper at a base frame of the machine.

Described herein is an array of finished products, each finished product in said array may have a Percent Compressibility of greater than 3.00% and an actual length ranging from about 10.955 inches to about 11.045 inches. The finished products may be paper towels, where the actual length is different for at least two finished products of the array and where at least one of the finished products of the array of finished products may comprise a protruding core and where at least one of the finished products may comprise a hidden core, and where each of the finished products are in a package.
Finished products formed from cutting convolutely wound logs of web materials
Described herein is an array of finished products, each finished product in the array having a length relative error of less than 0.81% of a target length, H is disclosed. The finished products, which may be toilet paper and kitchen towels, are formed from transversally cutting elongate logs of convolutely wound web materials.
PAPER ROLL CUTTING DEVICE AND RELATED CUTTING METHOD
A paper roll cutting device comprises a rotating motorized arm (20), provided with a rotation axis (21) fixed in the space, and at least one cutting blade (30) to cut at least a paper stick (100) obtaining said paper rolls connected to the rotating motorized arm (20), wherein the rotation axis (31) of the cutting blade (30) is cyclically movable during the rotation of the motorized arm (20), the distance between the rotation axis (21) of the rotating arm (20) and the rotation axis (31) of the cutting blade (30) being progressively cyclically variable during the rotation of the motorized arm (20) with a minimum distance at the lower point of the rotation trajectory of the cutting blade (30).
Cutting device and cutting process
The rotating shaped blade for cutting slides from a product strand is only configured over a portion of its outer edge as a circular segment that extends about the rotation axis and which represents the cutting edge so that on the one hand side the cutting edge has a constant width radial distance from a circular segment shaped functional edge of the stop plate over an entire extension of the circular segment, and on the other hand side immediately after releasing the strand cross section by the blade a forward movement of the product strand can be performed up to the stop plate until the radial front edge of the blade has reached the strand cross section again.
Installation for cutting food products equipped with means for filling the chute
An installation (I) for cutting food products in the form of elongated loaves (P). The installation includes at least one assembly (E) with at least one chute or magazine for receiving a loaf (P). The chute has the form of an elongated compartment configured to receive the loaf (P) via its open upper end, with the possibility of sliding so as to direct it towards and beyond its open lower end. A generally horizontal tray is arranged at a distance from the lower end of the chute with a cutting blade arranged near the tray. A displacement mechanism alternatively guides the lower end so that said blade interacts the loaf and executes its cutting. Also included is a storage unit (S) and a mechanised and/or automated unit for picking-off at least one loaf (P) from the storage unit (S) and for transferring and loading it in the chute.

Apparatus for trimming paper rolls or logs (2) including: a section for the entry of the logs (2) to be trimmed; a section for the exit of the trimmed logs (2); a station with cutting device (6) for trimming the logs (2); a device (3) for moving the logs (2, 2) between the entry section, the cutting station and the exit section; a device (4), associated with the log-moving device (3), for retaining the logs when subjected to movement.
Slicer feed unit
Slicers for cutting food such as sausage, cheese or meat, for example, into slices. Such slicers, and processes related thereto, may simultaneously slice at least two stick-shaped pieces of food by a cutting blade. The feeding of the food that is sliced may be further improved thereby. An exemplary feed unit (9) for feeding food (10) to a cutting blade (7) includes at least one gripper carriage (20) including a gripper receiving beam (22) and at least one movable gripper (21). This gripper (21) may be operated by a stationary drive, and the mechanical work for seizing can be transferred to the grippers (21) via guides or further drive structure.
Cutting unit and cutting process
A cutting unit to facilitate ejecting a slice that is cut off from a product strand a radial distance between a blade edge of the rotating blade. The functional edge of the stop plate may be adjusted during the cutting movement. In one embodiment, the functional edge of the stop plate may be adjusted at an end of the cutting movement.
Apparatus and method for moving logs within cutting-off machines
Apparatus for moving logs (2) within cutting-off machines. The apparatus includes a platform (1) with one or more longitudinal channels (10) inside which the logs to be cut are disposed, and a pusher device (3) acting in correspondence of the platform (1) and intended for acting on the back of the logs (2) to push them, along respective guide channels (10), toward a cutting device (4) disposed downstream. The apparatus includes a clamping device (5) disposed intermediate between the pusher device (3) and the cutting device (4) and intended for engaging the logs (2) which are pushed along the channels (10) of platform (1) by the pusher device (3) and driving them along up to the cutting device (4).
