DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CUTTING AN EXTRUDED PIPE TO LENGTH
A method cuts an extruded pipe to length using a separating device. The separating device includes a separator rotating about an extrusion axis of the extruded pipe, the separator being rotatably mounted in the separating device, and cutting tools being arranged on the separator. The cutting tools are configured to carry out the separation. The method includes transferring energy to move the cutting tools. The energy is transferred from a stationary outer region of the separating device to a movable inner region of the separating device. The energy is transferred continuously or cyclically and the transferred energy is buffered in an energy storage device. The energy is transferred inductively or capacitively. A discharge time of the energy storage device is between 2% and 25% of a total separation cycle.
End preparation tool for pre-insulated tubing
A tool is configured for preparing an end of a pre-insulated tubing bundle having a central tube having a diameter and an outer insulation covering have a diameter. The tool includes a body having first and second body sections joined to one another and movable between an open position and a closed position. The body sections, when joined to one another define a circular central opening. The circular central opening has a diameter about equal to the diameter of the outer insulation covering. A cutting blade is positioned in one of the first and second section sections extending inwardly of the circular central opening a distance equal to one-half of a difference between the diameter of the outer insulation covering and the diameter of the central tube.
BOTTLE CAN MANUFACTURING APPARATUS AND BOTTLE CAN MANUFACTURING METHOD
In order to manufacture a bottle can while eliminating the need for cleaning/drying after a mouth portion formation step, a bottle can manufacturing apparatus includes a necking processing part for carrying out a necking process while rotating a can body having a bottomed cylindrical shape around a rotational axis during formation of a mouth portion in the can; and a trimming processing part for subjecting the upper end portion of the can to slit processing and carrying out trimming while rotating the can while moving the can around the rotational axis. A plurality of necking processing parts are arranged in sequence, and the trimming processing part is arranged in sequence with at least one of the necking processing parts.
Facer for end fusion of polyolefin pipes
A facer facing the ends of polyolefin pipes for butt fusion is modular in the sense that it employs three types of modules, a drive unit, two blade holders and a motor assembly, that are separable from one another and each independently light enough to be hand-lifted along walls and up to ceilings. The drive unit module is adjustable to accommodate different guide rail spacings. The blade holder modules are interchangeable to accommodate different diameters of pipe. The motor assembly module has multispeed capability to accommodate the total area of material to be faced. Each module can be exchanged or modified without use of tools to change the geometry of the assembled facer to accommodate different fusion machines and/or diameters of pipe within working spaces dictated by the diameter of the pipe and not by a fixed geometry of a facer.
APPARATUS FOR CUTTING PIPES MADE OF PLASTIC MATERIAL
An apparatus for cutting pipes made of plastic material in automatic cutter machines, including a tool for cutting pipes made of plastic material, a first rocker arm supporting the cutting tool, movable between a non-operating configuration at which the tool is disengaged from the pipe and an operating configuration wherein the tool is designed to exert its cutting action on the pipe, a second arm, for controlling the first arm, operatively connected to the first arm for moving it at least between its non-operating and operating configurations, the second arm comprising a first electric actuator and a supporting body slidably connected for modifying its reciprocal position between a close position and a spaced-apart position.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CUTTING AN EXTRUDED PIPE TO LENGTH
A separating device cuts an extruded pipe to length. The separating device has a separator that is rotatably mounted and rotates about an extrusion axis. Cutting tools are arranged on the separator and move in accordance with received energy. A rotating receiver is in the separator. An electromechanical drive is configured to move a carrier that supports a cutting tool. The electromechanical drive and the carrier are on the rotating receiver. An energy conductor is connected to a moving part of the rotating receiver, the energy conductor being coupled to an energy supplier arranged on the rotating receiver. The energy and control commands are transmitted to the electromechanical drive via the energy conductor and the energy supplier. The electromechanical drive, the carrier, or the cutting tool yield to a force counter to a separating force that is greater than a required separating force for cutting the extruded pipe.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CLAMPING A CONTAINER DURING PROCESSING OPERATIONS
A device for inhibiting rotational motion of an article to be processed comprises a pressure plate assembly including a generally ring-shaped guide assembly. The guide assembly has and at least two guide pins extending from a first side in a transverse direction. The guide assembly further includes at least two resilient devices positioned over a respective one of the at least two guide pins and a container guide having an aperture for receiving an open end of a container moving in a first direction and for aligning the open end with a processing device. The container guide is positioned adjacent to the first side of the pressure plate assembly. At least two resilient devices are configured to be compressed in response to movement of the container guide in a first direction and are configured to decompress in response to movement of the container guide in a second, generally opposite direction.
Apparatus for trimming paper rolls or logs and an operating method for treating the logs
Apparatus for trimming paper rolls or logs (2) including: a section for the entry of the logs (2) to be trimmed; a section for the exit of the trimmed logs (2); a station with cutting device (6) for trimming the logs (2); a device (3) for moving the logs (2, 2) between the entry section, the cutting station and the exit section; a device (4), associated with the log-moving device (3), for retaining the logs when subjected to movement.
Method and device for stripping the insulation from pre-insulated pipe conduits
A method and device for stripping the insulation from and peeling pre-insulated pipe ends by means of a peeling and cutting tool.
