A container blank handling apparatus (5) for a container blank trimming system (1) for metallic tubular container blanks comprises first and second air bearing body portions having respective arcuate inner surfaces. The first and second body portions are arranged to be moveable with respect to one another between a closed configuration of the apparatus in which the inner surfaces are substantially contiguous so as to form a substantially continuous bearing surface which defines a container blank receiving volume of the apparatus, and an open configuration of the apparatus in which the first and second body portions spaced apart from one another such that the inner surfaces are not contiguous with one another. One of the first and second body portions defines an air delivery pathway therethrough, the air delivery pathway terminating in at least one air delivery aperture in the inner surface of the body portion such that the air delivery pathway is contiguous with the air delivery aperture, the pathway and aperture being arranged for supply of air therethrough into the container blank receiving volume.

PIPE CUTTING AND BEVELING MACHINE
20190022773 · 2019-01-24 ·

A machine for cutting or beveling a pipe. A cutter unit rotates around the pipe while cutting any surface of the pipe after gripping and fixing the pipe. The machine includes: a main body which a pipe passes through the center portion thereof to be fixed; and a cutter unit coupled to the main body unit rotates around the fixed pipe to cut or bevel the pipe. The cutter unit may have a rotating unit on one side to pull the cutter unit aside and a locking unit on the other side to restrain or release the cutter unit. An entry control unit operating the cutter unit includes: a lever gear-engaged with an outer side surface of an entry control plate; and a clutch formed on a rotation shaft of the lever such that the restraint is released when the lever is lifted or pressed in the axial direction.

TUBE CUTTER FOR CUTTING A ROUND TUBE AND METHOD FOR CUTTING A ROUND TUBE TO LENGTH

The invention relates to a tube cutter (1:1.1) for cutting a round tube (100). The tube cutter (1:1.1) comprises a main body (2:2.1), a cutting device (3) assigned to the main body (2:2.1), and a rotary guide (4) for the main body (2:2.1). The rotary guide (4) is designed to rotatably receive the round tube (100) in order to allow for a rotation of the tube cutter (1:1.1) about the central axis (110) of the round tube (100) along its outer circumference (120). The cutting device (3) has a cutting part (5) with a blade (6) lying in a cutting plane (7) and is designed such that, with a rotation of the tube cutter (1:1.1) about the round tube (100), the blade (6) executes a circumferential cut (400) in the cutting plane (7). In the tube cutter (1:1.1), at least one forming element (8) is also provided, which protrudes into the cutting plane (7) or is positioned at least in the cutting plane (7) and is designed such that, with the rotation of the tube cutter (1:1.1) about the round tube (100), it acts in a forming manner on the outer circumference (120) of the round tube (100), in order to form a bevel (131; 141) at an end of at least one of the tube parts (130, 140), created by the cut (400) of the blade (6), by means of material displacement. The invention also relates to a method for cutting a round tube (100) to length.

WINDOW TREATMENT CUTTING TOOL

A window treatment cutting tool may include a pair of cylindrical support tubes that are configured to support a roller tube assembly. The window treatment cutting tool may include a clamping assembly. The clamping assembly may be configured to abut the roller tube assembly to secure the roller tube assembly against the pair of cylindrical support tubes. The window treatment cutting tool may include a cutting arm assembly. The cutting arm assembly may include a blade support member and a blade attached to the blade support member. The blade support member may be configured to be biased toward the cylindrical support such that the blade contacts a flexible material of the roller tube assembly. The window treatment cutting tool may include an adapter that is configured to transfer rotation of a drill or hand crank to the one or more of the pair of cylindrical support tubes.

Catheter cutting device

A catheter cutting device can include a base, first and second support blocks coupled to the base, first and second roller shafts extending between and movably coupled to the first and second support blocks, and a sliding plate movably engaged with at least one of the support blocks or roller shafts such that movement of the sliding plate causes one or both of the first and second roller shafts to rotate. An arm including a cutting blade can extend in a direction perpendicular to the extension of the first and second roller shafts and can be coupled to the base or the sliding plate.

Method and apparatus for chamfering an end of a pipe made from thermoplastic material

Described is a method for chamfering the end of a pipe (2) made from thermoplastic material, comprising the following steps: localized and circumferential heating of an axial portion (3) of the pipe (2) at a predetermined temperature; plastic deformation of the heated axial portion (3) using a tool (4) for forming a chamfer on the axial portion (3).

Paring and cutting tool

A paring and cutting tool, and a therewith associated method, for the stripping and paring of pre-insulated pipe ends, in particular of the outside diameter of the medium-conveying pipe comprising a clamping unit for the reception of the pipe end, a guide unit for the feed movement of the stripping and paring unit, wherein the guide unit extends through the clamping unit, a cutting unit for separating the outer pipe and the insulating layer, a carrier and a stripping and paring unit, wherein the stripping and paring unit has a paring element, preferably a paring blade, and a stripping element, preferably a stripping contour, for the simultaneous stripping and paring of the pipe end, in particular of the medium-conveying pipe end.

Cutting device

A cutting device for cutting a pipe having a pipe wall. The cutting device includes an elongate carrier having a tool end which is engageable with a power tool and an opposed free end. The device includes a guide wheel located at the free end of the carrier which is loosely mounted thereon for rotation relative thereto, having a bearing surface extending parallel to a longitudinal axis of the carrier. The device also includes a cutting element having a peripheral cutting edge which is located adjacent to the guide wheel being positioned intermediate the guide wheel and the tool end. The cutting element is of greater transverse dimension than the guide wheel so that when the bearing surface bears against an internal surface of the pipe the distance between the cutting edge of the cutting element and the bearing surface enables the cutting element to cut through the pipe wall.
