Tubing Cutter
A cutter, such as a tubing cutter or a swing cutter. The cutter may include a cutting wheel; a roller; a housing assembly including a first housing portion supporting the cutting wheel and a second housing portion supporting the roller; a shaft connecting the housing portions, rotation of the shaft causing relative movement of the housing portions along a shaft axis; and a knob connected to the shaft and engageable by a user to rotate the shaft, the knob having, in a plane perpendicular to the shaft axis, a non-symmetrical shape defined by opposite circular sector portions and opposite lever portions, each lever portion being engageable by a user to apply a force to the knob in a direction of rotation. The cutter may include a shaft with a radial shoulder preventing movement of the shaft from the cavity through an opening in the housing portion.
Service Tool for Cutting and Plugging a Utility Service Line
A service tool for cutting and plugging a utility service line has a body with a receiving portion configured to receive the utility service line and a clamping mechanism movable relative to the body and configured to clamp around at least a portion of an outer circumference of the utility service line. The service tool further includes a cutting blade disposed in the receiving portion and configured to engage the outer circumference of the utility service line and cut the utility service line into a first cut portion and a second cut portion as the cutting blade is rotated about a cutting axis relative to the body. The service tool further has a hub associated with the body. The hub includes a plugging mechanism configured to displace the first cut portion of the utility service line and dispense a plug into the second cut portion of the utility service line.
PIPE CUTTER
A pipe cutter includes two bodies connected to each other to form a first room. Each body includes a passage. One of the two bodies has a second room. A torsion spring is located in the first room and includes a mounting member and a radial opening. A blade unit includes a pin, a blade, a movable member, a spring and an action member. When activating the action member to drive the movable member to compress the spring, the third contact portion and the second engaging portion of the movable member are disengaged from the groove and the first engaging portion of the pin, and the pin is not restricted and can be removed from the passage. The blade is not restricted by the pin and replaceable.
CUTTER
The cutter includes a main body, having a first hole; a blade, connected with the main body and being movable relative to the first hole, the blade having a cutting edge which partially and nondiametrically passes through the first hole when the blade moves relative to the first hole.
SCISSORS FOR CUTTING TUBES
The invention relates to scissors for cutting tubes, in particular tubes which are multilayer and/or protected with a protective coating, said scissors having two arms (1, 2), with a first part in the form of a head (1.1, 2.1) and a second part in the form of a handle (1.2, 2.2), including a first cutting system based on a blade (3) housed in a fixed manner in the head of one of the arms and a hole for housing a tube in the head of the other arm; and a second outwardly projecting cutting system arranged in the handle-shaped lower part (1.2, 2.2) and formed by independent cutting elements (6) arranged in pairs on each of the handles (1.2, 2.2) and facing each other two-by-two.
CUTTING TOOL
A cutting tool is configured to cut a tube. The cutting tool comprises a tube cutter. The tube cutter includes a housing having a blade opening and a profile defining a tube opening configured to receive the tube. The tube cutter also includes a blade arranged in the blade opening and extending into the tube opening. The cutting tool further comprises a handle having a grip portion and a mounting portion, the mounting portion configured to removably attach the tube cutter to the handle. The cutting tool also comprises a ratcheting mechanism configured to alternatively lock and unlock the tube cutter for rotation with the handle. When the tube cutter is attached to the mounting portion, the tube is arranged in the tube opening, and the handle is rotated in a first direction about the pipe, the ratcheting mechanism locks the tube cutter for rotation with the handle, such that the tube cutter rotates with the handle and the blade cuts the tube. When the tube cutter is attached to the mounting portion, the tube is arranged in the tube opening, and the handle is rotated in a second direction that is opposite the first direction about the pipe, the ratcheting mechanism allows the handle to rotate relative to the tube cutter.
Combination gripping and cutting tool
A combination gripping and cutting tool for cutting pipe and gripping can lids includes a pair of handles that are rigid. Each handle comprises a grasp that is arcuate. The handles are pivotally coupled, such that the grasps are opposing. A support, which is arcuate, extends transversely from a respective grasp. A channel is positioned in the support. A blade that extends transversely from a respective grasp is complementary to and positioned through the channel. Each of a pair of cutouts is positioned in a respective grasp. The cutouts are arcuate and opposing. Each of a pair of grips is coupled to a respective cutout. The grips are configured to engage a lid of a can when the grasps are pivoted inwardly. The handles are positionable with the support separated from the blade, such that a pipe is positionable between the blade and the support for cutting.
CUTTING TOOL
A cutting tool includes a housing having a blade opening and a biasing member having a securing portion, an engaging portion, and a semi-circular body portion in between the securing portion and the engaging portion. The securing portion secures the biasing member to the housing within the housing and the engaging portion extends away from the body portion. An annular blade is biased by the engaging portion towards the opening and against the housing, with the blade at least partially extending through the blade opening.
CUTTER AND KIT
A cutter and a kit. The cutter, such as a close quarters cutter, is operable to cut a work piece extending along an axis and includes a cutting wheel, a roller, and a housing assembly supporting the cutting wheel and the roller for movement about the axis in a cutting direction to cut the work piece. The housing assembly has a generally cylindrical outer surface engageable by a user to pivot the cutter about the axis. A grip portion is provided on the outer surface and includes a plurality of grip members. Each grip member includes, relative to the cutting direction, a trailing surface and a leading surface extending from the outer surface. The leading surface may be angled toward the cutting direction.
