CUTTING OR COMPRESSION TOOL
20170165856 · 2017-06-15 · ·

A cutting or compression tool comprises a housing and a driving group for moving a driving piston with respect to the housing, a fixed jaw with a first connecting seat and a second connecting seat for a stationary connection to the housing, a mobile jaw with a first fulcrum seat hinged to the fixed jaw at the second connecting seat and a second fulcrum seat hinged to a first connecting rod connected to the driving piston. The distance between the first connecting seat and the second connecting seat of the fixed jaw is equal to the distance between the first fulcrum seat and the second fulcrum seat of the mobile jaw.

PUNCH TOOL SYSTEM

A punch tool for forming holes or apertures in workpieces is described. The tool includes a primary cylinder containing a movable ram and a secondary cylinder containing another movable ram. The primary and secondary cylinders are in hydraulic communication with each other. The primary cylinder is releasably engageable with a powered press tool and various dies or punches can be attached at the secondary cylinder. Also described are systems of powered tools and the punch tools, and methods of forming holes in workpieces using the punch tools.

A method for punching bodywork components, in particular a skin in order to install parking-assistance sensors or headlight washers therein. The invention also relates to a punching machine having an anvil for receiving the bodywork component, a punch, and movement means for moving the punch, initially over a first stroke in order to bring it into a utilization position, and then over a second stroke in order to pierce said component. The movement of the punch over the second stroke takes place at a travel speed not exceeding 10 mm/s and less than the travel speed of the punch over the first stroke. The means for moving the punch over the second stroke comprise a punching actuator coupled to a force-multiplication mechanism. Finally, the invention relates to the use of a machine and to a bodywork component obtained by performing the method.

HYDRAULIC HAND-HELD KNOCKOUT PUNCH DRIVER

A hand-held knockout driver includes a main housing having a handle portion, a motor positioned within the main housing, a pump assembly driven by the motor, and a secondary housing coupled to the main housing and defining a bore therein. The hand-held knockout driver also includes a working piston moveable within the bore from a rest position to an actuated position to define a piston throw distance therebetween. The hand-held knockout driver also includes a draw stud coupled to the working piston, a die coupled to the secondary housing, and a punch coupled to the draw stud opposite the working piston for movement therewith relative to the die. The die has a depth greater than the piston throw distance.

Work tools having interchangeable work heads

A hand-held hydraulic assembly includes a work tool having a hydraulic cylinder or main body, a ram piston disposed in the hydraulic main body and a spring or other biasing member mounted on the ram piston. An interchangeable work head is selectively engaged to the ram piston of the work tool. The ram piston is axially displaceable in the main body for actuating the work head. A quick release coupling mounted to the work tool releasably connects the interchangeable work head to the work tool.
