A method and apparatus for securing a cable tie about an object is described. Further, a relatively compact banding tool that facilitates cable tie tensioning is described.

A system that converts sheet material into packaging templates includes a converting assembly that performs conversion functions, such as cutting, creasing, and scoring, on the sheet material as the sheet material moves through the converting machine in a first direction. A sheet cutting and bending apparatus for cutting a wavy sheet and forming trapezoidal notches required for installation includes a base, two cutters at an end of the base, and a force applying mechanism for driving the two cutters. A knife of the cutters has no handle but just has a curved force receiving edge at the rear edge. The force applying mechanism has two rocker aims driven by a rocker rod and a force applying rod bridging between the two rocker arms for abutting a force receiving edge of the knife to produce a shear force and pushing the knife efficiently to cut two incisions at an edge of the sheet. In addition, a bending mechanism is linked with the force applying mechanism and provided for flipping a plate between the two incisions inwardly to form trapezoidal notches required for installation at the edge of the sheet.

A creasing device for a work unit of a machine for at least creasing and possibly cutting a sheet made of a relatively rigid material, such as corrugated cardboard for packaging, fed in a predetermined work direction, includes a first creasing member mounted rotatable with its first axis of rotation transverse to the work direction, and a pre-creasing system disposed upstream of the first creasing member in the work direction, and configured to carry out a pre-creasing which progressively deforms the material of the sheet to be worked before it is subjected to a creasing operation.

A recording medium processing apparatus includes: a pressing unit that presses one surface of a transported recording medium against a to-be-pressed section; and a cutting unit that cuts the recording medium pressed against the to-be-pressed section.

The present invention relates to a catheter and a process for manufacturing a radially extending opening in tubing for a catheter. The tubing having at least one lumen being enclosed by at least one tubing wall and the process comprises placing tubing in a fixture, applying force to the tubing and thereby fixing the tubing in the fixture in a position for making an opening, pressing a heated depression tool against the surface of the tubing creating a depression area in the at least one tubing wall, and punching an opening cutting tool through the at least one tubing wall within the depression area creating an opening in the depression area of the at least one tubing wall, the opening extending from the exterior of the tubing to the lumen of the tubing.
