An apparatus for cutting corrugated pipes to length includes a clamping device configured to act radially with respect to an axis so as to fix a corrugated pipe in a machining position. The apparatus also includes a cutting tool moveable into an active position against the corrugated pipe in the machining position and configured to bring about a separation by moving the cutting tool and corrugated pipe relative to one another. A stop device is configured to engage in a corrugation trough of the corrugated pipe wherein a spacing between the cutting tool and stop device is variable in the axial direction with respect to the axis.

Cylindrical bottle cutter apparatus, systems and methods of using the same

A cylindrical bottle cutter apparatuses, systems and methods of using the same comprise a hollow cylindrical body comprising a slot within which a slidable spring-loaded blade is positioned. A bottle is placed within the cylindrical body, and the blade is positioned in the slot at the desired height to circumferentially cut the bottle when the blade is pushed against the bottle and the bottle is rotated within the cylindrical body.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING A STAPLE FIBER BASED ON NATURAL PROTEIN FIBER, A RAW WOOL BASED ON THE STAPLE FIBER, A FIBROUS YARN MADE OF THE STAPLE FIBER, A NON-WOVEN MATERIAL MADE OF THE STAPLE FIBER AND AN ITEM COMPRISING THE STAPLE FIBER.

Disclosed embodiments describe a method for manufacturing a staple fiber based on natural protein fiber. The method may include: providing a protein suspension, the protein suspension comprising fibrils of the natural protein fiber; directing the protein suspension through a nozzle onto a surface for forming a protein based fiber; drying the protein suspension on the surface; extracting the fiber from the surface; and providing the staple fiber. Disclosed embodiments may further describe a fiber based raw wool. The raw wool may include staple fibers, wherein the staple fibers are reconstructed on the basis of protein fibrils and are mechanically subdivided from natural protein fibers, wherein the protein fibrils are interlocked by hydrogen bonds, and wherein the raw wool comprises an unoriented, entangled, fluffy network of staple fibers.

A natural fiber based staple fibers, a method and apparatus for manufacturing such

The application relates to a method and apparatus for manufacturing a natural fiber based staple fibers. The application further relates to the staple fibers, staple fiber based raw wool and products comprising such. A method comprises providing a cellulose suspension (101, 310, 510) including water, refined cellulose fibrils and at least one rheology modifier, directing the cellulose suspension through a nozzle (102, 320, 520) onto a surface (300, 400, 500), drying the cellulose suspension onto the surface (103, 300, 400, 500) for forming a fiber (350, 550), and cutting the cellulose suspension on the surface for forming staple fibers (105).

Coating removal blade, removal blade unit and optical fiber coating removal apparatus
10514505 · 2019-12-24 · ·

A coating removal blade used in an optical fiber coating removal apparatus that removes a coating material of an optical fiber includes a blade tip that is pressed against the coating material from a radial direction of an optical fiber bare wire of the optical fiber, and a pressing surface against which the coating material to be pulled out from the optical fiber is pressed in a longitudinal direction of the optical fiber. The pressing surface includes an inclined surface that is inclined at a constant angle to extend in a direction opposite to a pulling-out direction of the optical fiber as a distance from the blade tip in the radial direction of the optical fiber bare wire increases, and an inclination angle of the inclined surface with respect to the pulling-out direction of the optical fiber is larger than 0 and equal to or smaller than 60.

VANE CUTTING APPARATUS

The present disclosure relates to apparatus and methods for cutting a hollow turning vane to a desired length for use in a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system. The vane cutting apparatus disclosed herein utilizes a pneumatically powered cutting mechanism that allows for a smaller apparatus footprint with no loss of cutting force and results in the single stepped blade rolling the inside edges of the hollow turning vane during cutting. The rolled inside edges provide a more secure and smoother fit when the hollow turning vane is fastened to the mating vane rail for use in an HVAC duct.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RECYCLING CIGARETTE WASTE

Disclosed herein are methods and apparatus for recycling cigarette waste, so that the reusable material (e.g., cellulose acetate, CA) in the cigarette waste may be isolated and reused. The cigarette waste is composed of a filter and a non-filter part. The apparatus includes at least, an adjusting unit and a treatment unit, respectively coupled to each other via a conveying member. The adjusting unit is configured to adjust the orientation of each cigarette so that each cigarette is aligned in sequence with the same orientation. The treatment unit is configured to cut out the non-filter part of each cigarette, and physically separating CA from the remaining part of the filter of each cigarette. Also disclosed herein is a method of recycling cigarette waste by use of the present apparatus.

Cutting machine as well as method for cutting elastic strings, in particular meat strings

A cutting machine for cutting up meat strands whose cross section varies over a longitudinal extension into weight precise slices as fast as possible, and a method for slicing such meat strands. Two or more strands may be received adjacent to each other in a respective form tube and pushed against a separately adjustable stop plate, which is assigned to each form tube, independently from each other by a controlled longitudinal press plunger. The strands may be compressed in the longitudinal direction and a cross section of the form tubes may be reduced in a first transversal direction jointly and in a second transversal direction independently from each other. Thus, the respective meat strand may be transversally compressed to a constant cross section for slicing.
