The sheet holder is used for a plotter that performs processing on a cloth sheet medium. The sheet holder includes a holder base material on an upper surface of which the sheet medium is mounted, and an engaging sheet attached onto the holder base material and including a plurality of hook-shaped engaging elements to be engaged with the sheet medium. The engaging elements are arranged so as to be arranged in a plane shape at predetermined intervals on the holder base material.

An apparatus is provided for handling overlay sheet material on a cutting apparatus including a conveyor for moving work material in a longitudinal direction and a support for positioning a tensioner frame adjacent the conveyor. A tensioner frame, attached to the support, has a nip wheel and a drive for rotating the nip wheel with a tangential speed in excess of the longitudinal conveyor speed attached to the tensioner frame. The nip wheel engages the overlay sheet material applying a tension thereto in the same longitudinal direction as the conveyor.

The upper guide unit is configured such that a gap between the upper guide unit and the lower guide unit widens in accordance with a thickness of the booklet to allow the booklet to pass through the gap.
