Longitudinal cutting of a band of a soft food mass
A device for the longitudinal cutting of a wide food band of a soft food mass which is moved in a conveyance direction on a conveyor belt, wherein a cutting cylinder rotating in the conveyance direction is provided on which is mounted a number of cutting disks disposed coaxially to the rotational axis A for cutting into the food band with the edge thereof, wherein a comb having a plurality of comb tines is provided, which in an operating position engage into the intermediate spaces between the cutting disks during the longitudinal cutting in order to hold down the cut strips on the conveyor belt, wherein the comb is held on a comb holder so as to be pivotable about the rotational axis, wherein the comb holder can be transferred from the operating position and a maintenance position by pivoting about the rotational axis.
Method and apparatus for building a 3D object from layers of pre-stripped substrate
Embodiments of the present invention relate to a system and method for manufacturing a three-dimensional object from a stack of pre-stripped layers of substrate. Each object layer is formed by (i) providing substrate comprising waste portion(s) and substrate-retained portion(s) that are attached to each other and separated from one another by cut(s) within the substrate; (ii) subsequently, subjecting the subject of each layer to a stripping process which selectively strips away substrate-waste portion(s) from the substrate-retained portion(s). After stripping, the object layer is added to a stack of previously-stacked object layers to grow the stack. This process is repeated to further grow the stack. Object layers of the stack are bonded to each other to build the three-dimensional object therefrom. Apparatus and methods for stripping are also describedany teaching or combination of teaching(s) related to stripping substrate may be employed in any additive-manufacturing process described herein.
MODULAR COMB ELEMENT FOR A MACHINE FOR AUTOMATIC CUTTING OF A MAT OF SHEETS OF MATERIAL
A modular comb element for a machine for automatically cutting a mat of sheets of material. The cutting machine includes a plurality of cutting supports. The comb element includes a plate forming a support from which a first and a second row of teeth extend longitudinally. The teeth of the first row alternate with the teeth of the second row, and a free end of the teeth of the first row are farther from a downstream edge of the support than a free end of the teeth of the second row of teeth. A ramp is mounted on the downstream edge of the support and inclined with respect to the latter so as to limit the contact surface between the mat of sheets and the comb element. Air injection means are at a downstream edge of the ramp over an entire width thereof.
GUIDE SLEEVE
The invention relates to a guide sleeve for a machine tool for the automated placement of stripping claws, wherein a receiving slot (2) is provided at one end and a solid material base (4) is provided at the other end, and wherein a machine-tool stop (3) is positioned between the receiving slot (2) and the solid material base (4). The guide sleeve is characterised in that the receiving slot (2) is an elongate hole.
Rotary tool ejection technology
A rotary tool ejection technology utilizing air to eject contents from the dies of a rotary cylinder. The dies include orifices positioned therein. The orifices are assembled with porous material. The orifices are capable of receiving air from an internal chamber and delivering it to the outer surface of a rotary cylinder. Air is supplied to the internal chamber by an internal shaft. The internal shaft contains a channel in fluid communication with outlets extending radially outward from the channel to locations on the outer surface of the shaft. The shaft is optionally assembled with a manifold having a conduit. The conduit is positioned for intermittent alignment with the orifices in the rotary cylinder as the rotary cylinder rotates relative to the manifold.
STRIPPER CLIP
A stripper clip (100) for a die board (300) of a stripping machine, the stripper clip (100) comprising: a hub (110) to be fitted into a corresponding socket (320) of the die board (300); a bridge extending from the hub (110) to a distal end (122); and a cantilevered arm (130) extending from the distal end (122) of the bridge. The clip (100) is dimensioned to fit into a socket (320) of the die board (300) with the cantilevered arm (130) extending from an underside of the die board (300) into an aperture (310) of the die board (300) for receiving waste pieces from blanks. The clip (100) is formed of a resilient material so that the cantilevered arm (130) is deflected towards the hub (110) as a waste piece (410) passes through the die board (300) and so that the arm (130) reflexes as the waste piece (410) passes the cantilevered arm (130) to assist in disposing of the waste piece (410).
Concrete cylinder mold cutter
An apparatus for removing the plastic mold around cured concrete in a plastic test specimen includes a baseplate with upstanding framework that supports two spaced vertical rods to which a cross-member is slidably mounted to move up and down the rods. At least one blade member is carried by the cross-member such that upon descent it may cut away the plastic of the mold so the cured concrete test cylinder may be removed. The cross-member is driven up and down by a lever arm pivotally mounted to the framework and includes a linkage between the lever arm and cross-member to transfer energy downward from the lever arm to cut and strip away the plastic mold from the concrete.
