DEVICE AND METHOD OF FORMING AN OPENING IN A BABY BOTTLE NIPPLE
20190358844 · 2019-11-28 ·

A method of forming an opening in a nipple for a baby bottle, comprising: inserting the nipple in a holder having an opening formed therein, the nipple positioned within the opening so that an area of the nipple where the opening is to be formed is positioned in a bottom area of the opening, the holder preventing deformation of the nipple in the area where the opening if to be formed; inserting a cutting device in an interior section of the nipple; contacting and stretching an interior wall of the nipple where the opening is to be formed by the cutting device; and penetrating the interior wall of the nipple forming the opening.

BIAXIAL TYPE SAWING DEVICE

A biaxial type sawing device includes a base, a worktable, a sawing unit, and a braking block. The worktable is disposed on the base for supporting a workpiece. The sawing unit has saw arm provided with a bottom end thereof pivoted to the worktable through a first shaft, a saw blade box pivoted to the top end of the saw arm through a second shaft, a motor assembled with the saw blade box, and a saw blade connected with the motor and partially covered by the saw blade box. The braking block is adjacent to the saw blade and pivoted to the second shaft. Therefore, when the saw blade touches an operator's hand, the braking block is triggered to press the saw blade, such that the saw blade is retracted away from the operator's hand together with the saw blade box, thereby enhancing safety in use.

SAFETY SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CUTTING MACHINE
20240149274 · 2024-05-09 ·

A safety system prevents cutting machine operators from being accidentally carried through the infeed chute into the machine's cutting mechanism. An operator wears a safety device on his wrist and/or ankle and a sensor array mounts on opposing sides of the cutting machine's infeed chute. The sensor array elements are wound in opposite directions and connect in series opposing. The magnetic field of the safety device induces a current in the sensor array as it moves in the proximity of the sensor array. The safety system generates a signal which is proportional to the sum of the induced currents. When the signal exceeds a threshold, the safety system shuts off power to the feed mechanism and/or the cutting blades of the cutting machine, preventing injury to the operator.

SAFETY SYSTEM FOR MACHINERY

A safety system for a machine having a danger zone includes an induction coil having one or more turns extending along the periphery of a part of a worker's body as, for example, extending alone the fingers of a glove worn by the worker. A drive circuit applies a time-varying current having an identifiable characteristic such as the frequency of an alternating current. A magnetic field having the characteristic of the time-varying current is induced in an omnidirectional magnetic field sensor mounted adjacent the danger zone. The magnitude of this field is monitored. When the magnitude exceeds a threshold, a warning signal is issued and protective action may be taken, such as stopping or reversing the machine.

Table Saws

Table saws with safety systems are disclosed. The safety systems detect and react to dangerous conditions, such as contact between the blade and a person. The table saws may include a switch, a first light that illuminates to indicate the safety system is operable, and a second light that illuminates to indicate that the safety system is inoperable. The switch may not power the saw when switched on if the second light is illuminated.

ENHANCED SAFETY ATTACHMENT FOR CUTTING MACHINE

The safety attachment provides preferably 4 video cameras mounted around a bandsaw blade and looking parallel to the blade direction. Each camera CCD sensor is partly scanned in mode 1. In mode 1 an axis corner of each scanned area is aligned with the camera axis, produced to the table, defining a corner of a parallel-sided protected volume including the entire exposed blade. The blade is rapidly braked when the attachment detects a glove intrusion. In the alternative fully scanned mode 2 the protected area extends outside the mode 1 area and a warning only is emitted on intrusion.
