Electric work machine
An electric work machine (1) includes a motor (1), a manipulatable part (9), a control part (20) configured to perform a first braking control and a second braking control that differ from each other, and a kickback-detection part (20, S30) that detects whether kickback has occurred. The control part energizes the motor in response to detection of user-manipulation of the manipulatable part. In response to detection of kickback, the control part performs the first braking control and thereby causes the motor to generate a first braking force. In response to detection of a state change of the manipulatable part to an unmanipulated or OFF state, the control part performs the second braking control and thereby causes the motor to generate a second braking force, which is weaker than the first braking force.

ACTIVE SAFETY APPARATUS FOR A DISC CUTTER
An active safety apparatus adapted for a disk or circular knife or saw is based on optical surveillance apparatus. The apparatus provides a precise boundary for a protected volume surrounding the blade. The apparatus creates four corner edges for the protected volume, which is a cuboid or a right frustrum. Appearance of an operator hand, recognized by glove color, in the protected volume causes immediate, active stopping of a servomotor used to rotate the saw blade.

SHEET PUNCHING DEVICE
A sheet punching device includes a punching unit, a cover member, an opening and closing sensor, a dust box, and a controller. The punching unit forms a punched hole in a sheet. The cover member can open and close the punching unit. The opening and closing sensor detects an open state of the cover member of the punching unit. The dust box is arranged in the punching unit and houses punch waste of the punched hole. The controller instructs continuation of a job of an image processing apparatus even if the opening of the cover member is detected by the opening and closing sensor without using the punching unit.
Method for controlling the manufacture of composite material parts and device for implementing same
A method and device for cutting materials for manufacturing parts according to which an image of a cutting line is made recurrently downstream from a cutting head. The images produced are analyzed in real time to calculate amplitudes of deviations in the quality of the surface profiles of the cutting line as the part is being cut and comparing the calculated amplitudes to at least one predefined threshold value. The cutting is stopped in the event of the at least one threshold value being exceeded.
SAFETY SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CUTTING MACHINE
A safety system prevents cutting machine operators from being accidentally carried through the infeed chute into the machine's cutting mechanism. An operator wears a safety device on his wrist and/or ankle and a sensor array mounts on opposing sides of the cutting machine's infeed chute. The sensor array elements are wound in opposite directions and connect in series opposing. The magnetic field of the safety device induces a current in the sensor array as it moves in the proximity of the sensor array. The safety system generates a signal which is proportional to the sum of the induced currents. When the signal exceeds a threshold, the safety system shuts off power to the feed mechanism and/or the cutting blades of the cutting machine, preventing injury to the operator.
