Dual Action Retention Mechanism
Embodiments of the invention provide a die retainer for use in a tool. The die retainer can include a ram head, a release button, and a die pin. The ram head includes a die cavity and a pair of lateral sides on opposing sides of the die cavity. The release button can extend through a release button hole formed in the ram head hand include opposing ends that extend past each of the corresponding pair of lateral sides. The die pin extends through a die pin cavity that intersects the release button hole. The die release button can be actuatable from either of the opposing ends to retract the die pin from the die cavity.
FIXED BLADE MONITORING STRUCTURE AND CUTTING DEVICE
This application relates to a fixed blade monitoring structure and a cutting device used for lithium battery manufacturing. The fixed blade monitoring structure includes: an anvil, fixed blade die set, and a fixed blade monitoring assembly. A sliding sleeve is disposed on the anvil. The fixed blade die set includes a fixed blade holder and a fixed blade mounted on the fixed blade holder. An end of the fixed blade holder is slidably mounted in the sliding sleeve. The fixed blade monitoring assembly is mounted in the sliding sleeve and connected to the fixed blade holder, and configured to render status of the fixed blade by monitoring a relative force received by the fixed blade holder. Through the above structure, manpower and time consumption in the tuning process is reduced. The status monitoring of a first cutter and a second cutter can be implemented during the cutting.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CUTTING SHEETS FOR USE IN THE PRODUCTION OF BOXES
In one aspect, there is provided a combination for use in readying a cutting cylinder is rotatably mounted to a frame in a box-forming production line. The cutting cylinder has a cylinder reference indicium. The combination includes a transfer member with a transfer member reference indicium thereon, a cutting member that includes a base and a cutting blade, and a connector structure that is configured to releasably mount the cutting member to the transfer member. The cutting member is movable to a selected distance along the first axis from the transfer member reference indicium. The connector structure includes a locking structure positionable in an unlocking position for separating the cutting member and the transfer member, and a locking position to lock the connector structure to the transfer member, so as to hold the cutting member at the selected distance from the transfer member reference indicium.

COMPLIANT ANVIL
An anvil roll is configured to operatively engage with a tooling agent. The anvil includes an outer surface, an opposing surface opposite the outer surface and an inner surface. One or more spring elements are disposed between the opposing surface and the inner surface. The springs provide a compliance to the anvil.
Die block, steel-rule die assembly comprising the same, and method thereof
The invention relates to steel-rule cutting dies having a die block with at least one kerf configured to receive a corresponding steel-rule intended to be partially inserted into the kerf. The die block also has at least one element having magnetic properties, such as for instance a magnet, located or embedded in proximity to each kerf for providing a magnetic field that retains the steel-rule when the steel-rule is received into the corresponding kerf. The presence of the magnetic element(s) in proximity to the kerf(s) allows maintaining the corresponding rule(s) in position within its kerf even if the kerf is cut “loosely”. The corresponding rule may be quickly and easily inserted and accurately maintained even if the die block expand or retract under atmospheric variations. Among other advantages, the invention allows better stability of the cutting-die, faster leveling on press, and increased the number of re-knifing and longer run-time.
Compliant anvil
An anvil is configured to operatively engage with a tooling agent. The anvil includes an outer surface, an opposing surface opposite the outer surface and an inner surface. One or more spring elements are disposed between the opposing surface and the inner surface. The springs provide a compliance to the anvil.
Segmented Die Comprising Master Die and Interchangeable Die Rule Inserts
A composite die retaining board and composite die are provided. The composite die retaining board includes a master die retaining board having a die rule insert-receiving recess, and a die rule insert installed in the die rule insert-receiving recess. The die rule insert has a shape that is complementary to the shape of the die rule insert-receiving recess. A plurality of interlock features extending from an outer periphery of the die rule insert and interlock with interlock bays formed and intersecting with the die rule insert-receiving recess. Methods of exchanging a die rule insert with a different die rule insert are also provided and enable a rapid swapping-out of different die rule inserts.
DIE PRESS DEVICE INCLUDING A DIE CHASE SYSTEM
A die press device includes a first platen for receiving installation of a die board comprising dies, a second platen capable of moving between a first position away from the first platen and a second position close to the first platen, a first chase bar and a second chase bar mounted on a surface of the first platen, and a control system for controlling a first movement of the first chase bar and a second movement of the second chase bar.
