CLAMPING ASSEMBLIES FOR SECURING KNIVES TO SLICING MACHINES, SLICING MACHINES EQUIPPED THEREWITH, AND TOOLS FOR USE THEREWITH
Clamping assemblies for securing knives to slicing machines, slicing machines equipped therewith, and tools for removing and installing knives on slicing machines. Such a clamping assembly may include a knife holder, a knife supported on a surface of the knife holder, and a clamp that clamps the knife to the knife holder. The clamp has a knife-engaging portion and a base portion. A cam rod applies a clamping load to the clamp to secure the knife to the knife holder. The cam rod has a camming surface that engages the base portion of the clamp when the cam rod is rotated to a clamping position to clamp the knife against the knife holder, and a radial concavity sized to accommodate the base portion of the clamp such that the base portion is loosely received within the radial concavity when the radial concavity faces the clamp in an open position thereof.
Systems and Methods for a Robot-adapted Cutting Board and Knife
In one embodiment, a method includes causing a robotic limb to intercouple with a handle of a knife. The knife comprising a handle at a proximal end where the handle is configured to intercouple with the robotic limb, a bade connected to the handle, and an indentation at a distal end where the indentation is configured to intercouple with a bar of the cutting surface, and where the blade is rotatable around a first axis while intercoupled with the bar. The method includes causing the indentation of the knife to be intercoupled with the bar of a cutting board. The cutting board comprising the cutting surface and the bar affixed to the cutting surface. The method includes adjusting, by the robotic limb the position of the knife along the bar to along with an object on the cutting surface and rotating the knife to cut the object.
PROTECTIVE HOUSING FOR A MICROTOME BLADE, ARRANGEMENT COMPOSED OF A PROTECTIVE HOUSING AND MICROTOME BLADE, AND MICROTOME BLADE HOLDER
A protective housing for a microtome blade (4) includes a frame that holds the microtome blade (4) and a clip (2) that can be pivoted relative to the frame. In a first position, the clip (2) covers a cutting edge of the microtome blade (4) received in the frame. A microtome blade holder (6) is configured to receive an arrangement (100) composed of the protective housing and the microtome blade (4).
BLADE HOLDER, BLADE MOVING SYSTEM AND MICROTOME
The present disclosure relates to a blade holder (100), a blade moving system (1000) and a microtome (2000). The blade holder (100) includes a base (110) defining a blade groove (112) and a slide groove (114), the blade groove (112) being configured to accommodating a blade (900); a slide rail (120) slidably accommodated in the slide groove (114); and an engagement assembly (130) mounted to the slide rail (120) and configured to engage the blade (900) such that the blade (900) is slidable along the blade groove (112) with sliding of the slide rail (120) in the slide groove (114). By using the blade holder (100) according to embodiments of the present disclosure, the blade (900) can be moved to the left or right along the blade groove (112) by sliding the slide rail (120) in the slide groove (114), thereby facilitating fully use of the blade (900).
