Punch holder and punch configurations
Punch holders and corresponding punch configurations configured to increase the ease and speed by which maintenance and/or modification of punches used with the holders can be performed. In some cases, the punch holder can be configured with one or more upper and lower collars operatively situated on differing areas of the holder, with each collar adapted to perform a different action with regard to a punch held by the holder. In some cases, when the upper collar is rotated, a corresponding height adjustment of a punch held by the holder results. In some cases, when the lower collar is rotated, a punch held by the holder is released.
BLANK, FORMED ARTICLE, DIE ASSEMBLY, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING BLANK
A sheet-shaped blank (10) for press forming is produced by shearing a metal sheet (30). The blank (10) includes a sheared edge (14), which includes a sheared surface (14b) and a fractured surface (14c) in the sheet thickness direction and has a loop shape in plan view. In plan view, an edge of the sheared edge (14) includes concavely curved portions (20). The average of lengths of the fractured surface (14c) in the sheet thickness direction in the curved portions (20) is greater than the average of lengths of the fractured surface (14c) in the sheet thickness direction over the entire perimeter of the sheared edge (14).
Method for trimming rectangular container
A method for trimming a rectangular container and an apparatus trimming a rectangular container are provided, by which an appropriate cut surface with a possible crack or burr suppressed can be obtained when a rectangular container is trimmed. When a punch cutter is initially allowed to cut into a rectangular tubular portion of an untrimmed rectangular container, the punch cutter is inclined relative to a thickness direction of a cut area of the rectangular tubular portion, and then, the punch cutter is circumferentially moved along a trim line on the rectangular tubular portion to cut the rectangular tubular portion.

Keeper plate alignment arrangement for punch press
A punch press quick tool change system comprising a reciprocally movable upper support member arranged on a punch press frame. The system also includes a lower support member arranged on the punch press frame. A pair of tool gripping members are arranged on the upper support member and also on the lower support member. The tool gripping members comprises a 1.sup.st pair of spaced-apart parallel keeper positioners secured to the upper support member for securing the tool gripping arrangement plate adjustably against the upper support member. A 2.sup.nd pair of parallel keeper positioners are secured to the lower support member for securing a 2.sup.nd tool gripping plate adjustably against the lower support member.

Hole Punch
A hole punch for forming a hole in metal or other material is provided. In some embodiments, the punch comprises a first assembly that is positioned on one side of the device to be punched and a second assembly is positioned on the other side. One of the assemblies comprises a male punch and the other comprises a female die plate. In some embodiments, rotation of a bolt causes the male punch to move through the device to be punched and into the female die plate. In some embodiments, the device to be punched is a rain gutter. In some embodiments, one or both of the first and second assemblies have magnets so that the punch can be releasably assembled with the assemblies on either side of the device to be punched.
