SHEET PROCESSING APPARATUS
A sheet processing apparatus includes: at least one processing tool that takes a processable state and an unprocessable state; a setting unit that sets operation parameters on the processable state and the unprocessable state; and a control unit that controls an operation of the processing tool based on the set operation parameters, in which the setting unit sets the operation parameters such that: a processable state holding process in which the processing tool holds the processable state, is executed, when a certain portion-to-be-processed is formed in a certain pre-product and then a next portion-to-be-processed of the same type as the certain portion-to-be-processed is formed in a next pre-product; and/or a processing tool selection process in which the processing tool for forming the portion-to-be-processed is selected so that a moving distance of the processing tool is minimized, is executed.
Label stacking machine and method
A method of making a pad of labels comprises: printing display information on a top surface of a substrate; affixing a first layer of lamination material to a bottom surface of the substrate; affixing a second layer of lamination material to the top surface of the substrate, the second layer of lamination material having a release coating applied to a top surface thereof; applying an adhesive strip to a bottom surface of the first layer of lamination material, the adhesive strip being covered by a liner material; cutting the substrate having first and second layers of lamination material affixed into at least one label; removing the liner material to expose the adhesive strip after cutting the substrate into at least one label; and arranging the labels into a pad of labels.
PATCH DEVICES, METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR FORMING, AND TESTING PHARMACEUTICAL AGENT DELIVERY PATCH DEVICES
A method for manufacturing a plurality of pharmaceutical agent delivery patch devices includes: providing a supply web including an active layer containing a pharmaceutically active agent; and cutting the supply web to form cut lines through the active layer. The cut lines define in the active layer: a first active layer patch having a first peripheral edge formed by the cutting step; and a second active layer patch having a second peripheral edge formed by the cutting step. The first and second peripheral edges each include a corner portion. At least a first segment of the first peripheral edge and an opposing second segment of the second peripheral edge are formed by a shared one of the cut lines.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MANUFACTURING FIBER-REINFORCED RESIN MOLDING MATERIAL
A method for manufacturing a fiber-reinforced resin molding material having a cut fiber tow impregnated with a resin includes a separation step of intermittently separating a fiber tow and forming at least two separation-processed lines arranged side by side in a width direction of the fiber tow and a cutting step of cutting the fiber tow at an interval in the longitudinal direction, and the separation step and the cutting step are carried out to satisfy (1) to (3). (1) 1c/L50 (2) c<a (3) b/L<1 c is an overlapping length of separated parts when one separation-processed line is projected to another separation-processed line adjacent thereto in the width direction, L is the interval in the cutting step, a is a length of the separated part in the separation-processed line, and b is a length of an unseparated part in the separation-processed line.
Hard Taco Shell and Method and Apparatus for Producing the Hard Taco Shell
A taco shell is produced using a rotary cutter including a shaft, an outer blade extending radially outward from the shaft and a first inner blade extending radially outward from the shaft. The outer blade defines an interior area, enclosed by the outer blade, and an exterior area. The first inner blade is located in the interior area and includes a plurality of teeth. A dough piece is cut from a dough sheet with the outer blade, and a first arcuate line of depressions is created in the dough piece with the plurality of teeth. The dough piece is folded to form a shaped dough piece, and the shaped dough piece is baked to produce a hard taco shell.
Cutting tool, and a method for cutting a web or sheet of material
The present invention relates to a cutting tool (100) for providing holes in a core material layer (10). The cutting tool (100) comprises a cutting knife (110) having a cutting edge (112) configured to cut through the core material layer (10), and a support structure (120) onto which the cutting knife (110) is attached, wherein the support structure (120) is at least partly formed by an elastic material.
KNIFE STRIP, CUTTING BAR AND ADJUSTING DEVICE FOR THE SIMPLIFIED ADJUSTMENT OF THE KNIFE HEIGHT
A knife strip, cutting bar and adjusting device are provided by means of which an exact adjustment of the knife height is ensured for the entire service life of the adjusting device or of the knife bar, or by means of which the use of an adjusting device can even be forgone completely. An adjusting device includes a knife strip wherein at least one stop surface is formed in the area of at least one outer edge. An adjusting device includes at least one stop against which the at least one stop surface of the knife strip is placed. A knife bar includes at least one stop against which the at least one stop surface of the knife strip is placed.
AUTOMATIC NAPKIN DISPENSER
The present application provides a napkin dispenser for dispensing a number of folded napkins from a sheet material to an end user. The napkin dispenser may include a loading station for loading the sheet material, a folding station for folding a napkin from the sheet material, and a presentation station for presenting one or more of the folded napkins to the end user.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ADJUSTING AND MAINTAINING A POSITION OF A CUTTING SURFACE OF A PERFORATING APPARATUS
The present disclosure relates to adjusting and maintaining a position of a cutting surface used to create lines of weakness for rolled products. A perforating apparatus includes a housing rotatably supported by a frame, wherein the housing is adapted to rotate about a first axis. A support member including a first cutting surface is rotatably supported by the housing, wherein the support member is adapted to rotate about a second axis offset from the first axis. A roll including a second cutting surface is positioned adjacent the support member, wherein the roll is adapted to rotate about a third axis. The second cutting surface is adapted to contact the first cutting surface as the roll rotates about the third axis. The perforating apparatus is configured such that the functions of adjusting the position of the first cutting surface and holding the first cutting surface in a fixed position are separate.
