PERFORATOR LUBRICATION SYSTEM
Disclosed are apparatus, systems and methods of lubricating a knife which provides intermittently spaced cuts to a moving web, also referred to as perforations. In this manner, the apparatus, systems and methods are useful in both perforating a web and lubricating the knife used to form the perforations. the apparatus, systems and methods disclosed herein improve knife life, perforation quality and web handling.

DIE CUTTING STATION FOR A PACKAGING LINE
A packaging line station having a frame, a die assembly, a drive motor, and an anvil roller. The frame has a base with two vertical stanchions extending upwardly from sides thereof and a top cross-member affixed across the stanchions. The die assembly includes a yoke affixed to the cross-member, a die wheel rotatably affixed to side arms of the yoke, a drive shaft affixed to the die wheel and a cutting die affixed to the die wheel. The drive motor is connected to the drive shaft. The drive shaft and the anvil roller extend between the stanchions. The cutting die and the anvil roller and spaced apart by a nip for receiving a traveling web. As the web passes through the nip the web is cut by blades of the rotating die to form a slit. An adhesive resealable tape or label is then applied over the slit.
Method for Perforating a Nonlinear Line of Weakness
A method for providing a nonlinear line of weakness on a web material including providing: a base, a support, a blade, and a driving means. The base may comprise at least one counter component having a length (L.sub.CC) where the counter component comprises a nonlinear shape having a shape width (W). The support may be operatively engaged with the base. The blade may have a length (L.sub.B) and may be disposed on the support so as to either contact or to come in close proximity with the counter component. At least one of the counter component and the blade may have a nonlinear shape and at least one of the counter component and the blade may comprise multiple segments.
Method for Perforating a Nonlinear Line of Weakness
A method for providing a nonlinear line of weakness on a web material including providing: a base, a support, a blade, and a driving means. The base may comprise at least one counter component having a length (L.sub.CC) where the counter component comprises a nonlinear shape having a shape width (W). The support may be operatively engaged with the base. The blade may have a length (L.sub.B) and may be disposed on the support so as to either contact or to come in close proximity with the counter component. At least one of the counter component and the blade may have a nonlinear shape and at least one of the counter component and the blade may comprise multiple segments.
Hard Taco Shell and Method and Apparatus for Producing the Hard Taco Shell
A taco shell is produced using a rotary cutter including a shaft, an outer blade extending radially outward from the shaft and a first inner blade extending radially outward from the shaft. The outer blade defines an interior area, enclosed by the outer blade, and an exterior area. The first inner blade is located in the interior area and includes a plurality of teeth. A dough piece is cut from a dough sheet with the outer blade, and a first arcuate line of depressions is created in the dough piece with the plurality of teeth. The dough piece is folded to form a shaped dough piece, and the shaped dough piece is baked to produce a hard taco shell.
Sheet processing apparatus
A sheet processing apparatus includes: at least one processing tool that takes a processable state and an unprocessable state; a setting unit that sets operation parameters on the processable state and the unprocessable state; and a control unit that controls an operation of the processing tool based on the set operation parameters, in which the setting unit sets the operation parameters such that: a processable state holding process in which the processing tool holds the processable state, is executed, when a certain portion-to-be-processed is formed in a certain pre-product and then a next portion-to-be-processed of the same type as the certain portion-to-be-processed is formed in a next pre-product; and/or a processing tool selection process in which the processing tool for forming the portion-to-be-processed is selected so that a moving distance of the processing tool is minimized, is executed.
PERFORATING DEVICE AND CONVERTING MACHINE COMPRISING SAID DEVICE
The perforating device for perforating a web material including a first blade-holder adapted to rotate around a respective first rotation axis and on which at least a first perforating blade is mounted. The device further includes a support beam, on which a plurality of counter-blades are mounted, the support beam being angularly adjustable around a selection rotation axis thereof in a plurality of angular working positions, in each angular working position one of the counter-blades being in an operative position. A movable abutment is also provided adapted to co-act with the support beam. A first actuating device is provided for moving the movable abutment between an active position, where the movable abutment co-acts with the support beam, and an idle position, where the movable abutment is spaced from the support beam. A second actuating device is provided for rotating the support beam in order to arrange it selectively in one of the angular working positions.
PERFORATING DEVICE AND CONVERTING MACHINE COMPRISING SAID DEVICE
The perforating device for perforating a web material including a first blade-holder adapted to rotate around a respective first rotation axis and on which at least a first perforating blade is mounted. The device further includes a support beam, on which a plurality of counter-blades are mounted, the support beam being angularly adjustable around a selection rotation axis thereof in a plurality of angular working positions, in each angular working position one of the counter-blades being in an operative position. A movable abutment is also provided adapted to co-act with the support beam. A first actuating device is provided for moving the movable abutment between an active position, where the movable abutment co-acts with the support beam, and an idle position, where the movable abutment is spaced from the support beam. A second actuating device is provided for rotating the support beam in order to arrange it selectively in one of the angular working positions.
Sanitary tissue product with a shaped line of weakness
A web of toilet tissue that includes a shaped line of weakness, wherein the toilet tissue exhibits a LWP Factor of greater than about 7, and a Geometric Mean Peak Elongation of greater than about 15%, as measured according to the Dry Tensile Strength Test Method.
